Հունահռոմեական ոճի ըմբշամարտի Եվրոպայի կրկնակի չեմպիոն Մալխաս Ամոյանը լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում ամփոփել է Խորվաթիայում կայացած առաջնությունը, որտեղ ինքը ոսկե մեդալ նվաճեց:
«Ուրախ եմ, որ կարողացա Եվրոպայի կրկնակի չեմպիոն դառնալ: Այս անգամ ավելի բարդ ստացվեց: Լավ էինք պատրաստվել մեր մարզիչների օգնությամբ: Եզրափակչում մրցակիցս լավ էր պատրաստվել ու ամեն ինչ անում էր հաղթանակի համար: 20 վայրկյանում կարողացա հնարք կատարել ու հետ բերել կորցրածս: Եզրափակիչ գոտեմարտից այդքան էլ գոհ չեմ, քանի որ եթե այդ հնարքը չանեի, գուցե՝ այն ճակատագրական լիներ ինձ համար»,- ասել է Մալխաս Ամոյանը:
Ամոյանի խոսքով՝ այս հաղթանակն իրեն վստահություն է տվել՝ հետագա մրցումների համար.
«Այս հաղթանակն ինձ ավելի մեծ ուժ տվեց այս քաշային կարգում: Հաջորդ մրցաշարերին ավելի վստահ կմոտենամ: Այդուհանդերձ, բացերը շատ են: Ամեն ինչ պետք է անեմ մարզիչների օգնությամբ բացերը լրացնելու և աշխարհի առաջնությանը պատրաստ մոտենալու համար, որը Փարիզ տանող ճանապարհի գլխավոր կետն է: Ինձնից հասնում է լավ մարզվել ու Օլիմպիական խաղերի ուղեգիր նվաճել, հետագայում էլ փորձել մեդալակիր դառնալ արդեն Փարիզի խաղերում»,- եզրափակել է Մալխաս Ամոյանը:
