ԱՄՆ պետդեպարտամենտը հրապարակել է ԱՄՆ Միջազգային կրոնական ազատության հանձնաժողովի (USCIRF) 2022 թվականի կրոնական ազատության վերաբերյալ զեկույցը։ Ադրբեջանը ներառվել է հատուկ հսկողության տակ գտնվող երկրների ցանկում: Այս մասին գրել է «Արցախպրես»-ը։
Զեկույցի համաձայն՝ 2022 թվականին Ադրբեջանում կրոնական ազատության վիճակը բացասական դինամիկա է ունեցել։
Զեկույցում հիշատակվում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում Բաքվի վերահսկողության տակ անցած տարածքներում Ադրբեջանի կողմից հայկական հոգևոր ժառանգության ոչնչացման մասին:
«Միջազգային մարմինները և այլ կազմակերպություններ շարունակում են կասկածի տակ դնել Ադրբեջանի կառավարության պատրաստակամությունը՝ պաշտպանելու և պահպանելու կրոնական և մշակութային ժառանգությունը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում և հարակից տարածքներում, որոնք գտնվում են Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ։
Փետրվարին նախկին մշակույթի նախարար Անար Քերիմովը հայտարարել էր աշխատանքային խմբի ստեղծման մասին, որի նպատակն էր եկեղեցիներից հեռացնել Հայ Առաքելական արձանագրությունները, որոնք նա անվանել էր «անիրական»: Ըստ ամենայնի, կառավարությունը հրաժարվել է այդ ծրագրից միջազգային հանրության վրդովմունքից հետո, իսկ մարտին Եվրախորհրդարանը դատապարտել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում և նրա շուրջ հայկական մշակութային ժառանգությունը ջնջելու և ժխտելու Ադրբեջանի շարունակական քաղաքականությունը»,-ասված է փաստաթղթում:
USCIRF-ը խորհուրդ է տալիս ԱՄՆ կառավարությանը «ֆինանսավորում տրամադրել ԱՄՆ Միջազգային զարգացման գործակալությանը և Բաքվում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատանը ՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում և հարակից շրջաններում պաշտամունքի վայրերի և այլ կրոնական կամ մշակութային վայրերի վերականգնման, պահպանման և պաշտպանության համար»:
