Աշոտ Փաշինյանի ու Գայանե Հակոբյանի՝ զոհված զինծառայողի մոր նոր փաստաբանները մամուլի ասուլիս են հրավիրել։ Նրանք են՝ Հովսեփ Սարգսյանը, Գեորգի Մելիքյանն ու Վարդուհի Էլբակյանը։ Իրավապաշտպան, փաստաբան Ռուբեն Մելիքյանը, հիշեցնենք, օրերս հայտնել էր, որ 3 պաշտպանները` ինքը, Վահան Հովհաննիսյանն ու Վահան Գևորգյանը այլևս չեն իրականացնում կալանավորված Գայանե Հակոբյանի` զոհված զինծառայող Ժորա Մարտիրոսյանի մոր պաշտպանությունը, ով մեղադրվում է Աշոտ Փաշինյանին առևանգելու մեջ: Ռուբեն Մելիքյանը չի մանրամասնել, թե որն էր պատճառը, նա միայն գրել էր. «Վերջին օրերի իրադարձություններն ամբողջությամբ ձեր աչքի առջև էին, ուստի անսպասելի չի լինի մեր այն համոզմունքը, որ տիկին Գայանեի արդյունավետ պաշտպանության իրավական գործիքակազմն այլևս սպառված է»։

Փաստաբան Հովսեփ Սարգսյանը՝ անդրադառնալով լրագրողների հարցերին՝ հակադարձեց Ռուբեն Մելիքյանին՝ պնդելով, որ իրենք գտնում են՝ իրավական գործիքակազմը սպառված չէ։

«Ամբողջ խնդիրն այն է, որ Աշոտ Փաշինյանի ու Գայանե Հակոբյանի մասնակցությամբ միջադեպը տեղի է ունեցել հանրային հարթակում։ Նա նստել է ավտոմեքենա ու դա եղել է նրա կամքով։ Գայանե Հակոբյանը իր բոլոր ցուցմունքներով, նաև առերեսման ժամանակ, հաստատել է հենց այս եղելությունը։ Մինչև այս պահը քննության փուլում որևէ ապացույց այդպես էլ չի ներկայացվել, որով հնարավոր կլինի Գայանե Հակոբյանի ասածների հակառակն ապացուցել։ Որևէ մեկը չի կարող ասել, որ նա առևանգմանը բնորոշ որևէ գործողություն է կատարել ու սա է հենց ամենակարևորը»,- նշեց Գեորգի Մելիքյանը։
