ԱՄՆ Պետքարտուղարության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցչի ս.թ. մայիսի 30-ի հայտարարությունը, որում նա ողջունել է Արցախի (Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի) բնակիչների, այսպես կոչված, համաներման հարցը դիտարկելու պատրաստակամության մասին Ադրբեջանի նախագահի վերջին հայտարարությունները, խորը հիասթափություն և տարակուսանք է առաջացնում։ Այս մասին ասվում է Արցախի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարարության արձագանքում ԱՄՆ Պետքարտուղարության ներկայացուցչի հայտարարությանը:

«Անբացատրելի է, թե ինչպես կարելի է ամբողջությամբ բացահայտ շանտաժի և պարտադրանքի վրա հիմնված Ադրբեջանի նախագահի այդ հայտարարության մեջ խրախուսանքի արժանի որևէ դրական տարր գտնել։

Ակնհայտ է, որ Ադրբեջանի նախագահի հայտարարության հիմնական ուղերձը կայանում էր նրանում, որ Ադրբեջանը հրաժարվում է Արցախի Հանրապետության ժողովրդավարական ճանապարհով ընտրված իշխանությունների հետ հավասար երկխոսությունից և առաջնորդվում է միայն իր իշխանությունն Արցախի ժողովրդին ուժով պարտադրելու ցանկությամբ։

Կասկածներ չունենք, որ ԱՄՆ-ն ցանկություն ունի դրական դեր խաղալ ադրբեջանա-ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության արդար, հավասարակշռված ու արժանապատիվ կարգավորման և տարածաշրջանում երկարաժամկետ խաղաղության հասնելու գործում։ Միևնույն ժամանակ, գտնում ենք, որ Բաքվի ապակառուցողական և ռազմատենչ քաղաքականության խրախուսումը լավագույն միջոցը չէ հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացում դրական փոփոխությունների հասնելու համար»,-ասվում է ԱԳՆ տարածած հաղորդագրությունում։
