Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը երկուշաբթի օրը ժամանել է Թուրքիայի կողմից օկուպացված Հյուսիսային Կիպրոս․ սա վերընտրվելուց հետո նրա առաջին արտասահմանյան այցն է։ Տեղական լրատվամիջոցները մեծ ուշադրություն են դարձնում այս այցին, իրական ժամանակում հաղորդումներ են հեռարձակում այսպես կոչված՝ «Հյուսիսային Կիպրոսի Թուրքական Հանրապետություն» (ՀԿԹՀ)  Էրդողանի այցելության մասին, որը, բացի Անկարայից, աշխարհի ոչ մի պետություն չի ճանաչում։

Նշվում է, որ այցի ավարտից հետո Էրդողանը կմեկնի Բաքու, որտեղ կհանդիպի Ադրբեջանի ղեկավար Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ։ Թուրքիայի նախագահը ընտրություններից հետո ավանդաբար այցելում է ՀԿԹՀ։ Թուրքիայում մայիսի 28-ին կայացել է նախագահական ընտրությունների երկրորդ փուլը։ Էրդողանը հաղթել է ձայների 52,18%-ով։

Թուրքիայի նախագահի այցերը ինքնահռչակ հանրապետություն մշտապես դժգոհություն են առաջացնում Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության իշխանությունների մոտ, որոնք ՀԿԹՀ-ն համարում են օկուպացված տարածք։ Կիպրոսի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը նախօրեին կտրուկ է արձագանքել Թուրքիայի կողմից անցկացվող «Անատոլիայի Փյունիկ-2023» զորավարժությունների մասին, որին մի շարք երկրների հետ միասին հրավիրվել են նաև ՀԿԹՀ-ի զինվորականներ։ Գործակալության տվյալներով՝ Անկարան համակարգված և միակողմանիորեն փորձում է նման գործողությունների մեջ ներառել օկուպացված տարածքներում գտնվող անօրինական անջատողական կազմավորումը։ Արդյունքում, ինչպես նշել է ԱԳՆ-ն, Իսպանիան և Լեհաստանը տեղեկացրել են այս զորավարժություններին մասնակցելուց հրաժարվելու մասին։

Նշենք, որ Ադրբեջանը նույնպես մասնակցում է այս զորավարժություններին։

Կիպրոսի նախագահ Նիկոս Խրիստոդուլիդեսը բազմիցս հայտարարել է, որ ակնկալում է առաջընթաց տեսնել բաժանված կղզու խնդրի լուծման հարցում Թուրքիայում կայանալիք ընտրություններից անմիջապես հետո։ Մարտի վերջին նա Եվրամիության ղեկավարությանը տեղեկացրեց նոր նախաձեռնությունների մասին, որոնք ենթադրում են Բրյուսելի ավելի ակտիվ ներգրավվածություն խնդրի լուծման գործում։ Նիկոսիայի իշխանությունները նաև առաջարկում են ԵՄ-ին Կիպրոսի կարգավորման հարցով հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ նշանակել, որը կմասնակցի հետագա բոլոր բանակցություններին։ Նրանք ձգտում են ապահովել, որ այդ դերը բաժին հասնի հայտնի և հարգված քաղաքական գործչի:
