Բայդենը երկարաձգել է արտակարգ դրության ռեժիմը ԿԺԴՀ-ի և Արևմտյան Բալկանների նկատմամբ

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենն ամերիկյան Կոնգրեսին ծանուցել է, որ երկարացնում է Հյուսիսային Կորեայի և Արևմտյան Բալկանների նկատմամբ ԱՄՆ-ի պատժամիջոցների գործողությունը: «Արմենպրես»-ն այս մասին տեղեկանում է Սպիտակ տան տարածած հայտարարություններից:
ԿԺԴՀ-ի նկատմամբ արտակարգ դրության երկարացումը Բայդենը պատճառաբանել է «Կորեական թերակղզում զենքի արտադրության համար օգտագործման ենթակա տրոհվող նյութի առկայությամբ և տարածման վտանգով (…), Հյուսիսային Կորեայի կառավարության գործողություններով ու քաղաքականությամբ», ինչպես նաև «նրա կողմից միջուկային և հրթիռային ծրագրերի իրականացմամբ»։
Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարի խոսքով՝ դա «ապակայունացնում է իրադրությունը Կորեական թերակղզում և վտանգի տակ է դնում ԱՄՆ-ի զինված ուժերին, նրա դաշնակիցներին ու առևտրային գործընկերներին տարածաշրջանում»։
Բայդենն Արևմտյան Բալկանների դեմ պատժամիջոցների երկարաձգումը բացատրել է նրանով, որ տարածաշրջանի երկրներում նկատվում են «ծայրահեղական բռնության և օբստրուկցիոնիստական գործունեության դեպքեր»: Ըստ հայտարարության՝ ընդհանուր առմամբ, տարածաշրջանում տիրող իրավիճակը խոչընդոտում է արդյունավետ ու ժողովրդավարական կառավարման ուղղությամբ առաջընթացին և լիակատար ինտեգրմանն անդրատլանտյան հաստատություններին:
«Սա շարունակում է անսովոր և արտառոց վտանգ ներկայացնել Միացյալ Նահանգների ազգային անվտանգության ու արտաքին քաղաքականության համար», - ընդգծել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը։
ԿԺԴՀ-ի նկատմամբ արտակարգ դրության ռեժիմը մտցվել է 2008 թվականին և դրանից հետո քանիցս երկարացվել է: Արևմտյան Բալկանների նկատմամբ այդ ռեժիմը հայտարարվել է 2001 թվականին և նույնպես երկարացվել է։
Երկու ռեժիմների գործողության ժամկետը լրանում է հունիսի 26-ին, դրանք երկարացվել են ևս մեկ տարով։
