Ուկրաինան ԱՄՆ-ից ստացել է կասետային զինամթերք, սակայն այն դեռ չի օգտագործել պատերազմում։ Այս մասին CNN-ի մեկնաբանությունում ասել է «Տավրիա» օպերատիվ-ռազմավարական խմբավորման հրամանատար, բրիգադային գեներալ Ալեքսանդր Տարնավսկին։

«Մենք նոր ենք ստացել դրանք (կասետային զինամթերք), դեռ չենք օգտագործել, բայց դրանք կարող են արմատապես փոխել իրավիճակը ռազմաճակատում »,- ասել է նա։

Տարնավսկին նշել է, որ ռուսները հասկանում են, որ ստանալով այդ զինամթերքը, Ուկրաինան առավելություն կունենա: Նա վստահեցրել է, որ միայն բարձրագույն ղեկավարությունը կորոշի, թե կոնկրետ որտեղ կարելի է օգտագործել կասետային արկերը, քանի որ դրանք շատ հզոր զենքեր են։

«Ռուսները կարծում են, որ մենք դրանք կօգտագործենք ռազմաճակատի բոլոր հատվածներում։ Դա շատ սխալ է։ Բայց նրանք շատ անհանգստացած են»,– ավելացրել է գեներալը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ նախօերին ՌԴ ՊՆ ղեկավար Սերգեյ Շոյգուն ասել է, որ եթե ԱՄՆ-ն Ուկրաինային կասետային զինամթերք մատակարարի, ռուսական զորքերը ստիպված կլինեն նմանատիպ զենք կիրառել Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերի դեմ։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարար Սերգեյ Շոյգուն։ 

«Եթե Միացյալ Նահանգները կասետային զինամթերք մատակարարի Ուկրաինային, ապա ռուսական զինված ուժերը ստիպված կլինեն ի պատասխան նման զինատեսակներ օգտագործել Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերի դեմ», - ասել է ՌԴ ՊՆ ղեկավարը։

Նրա խոսքով՝ Ռուսաստանի զինանոցում կասետային զինատեսակներ են պահվում «իրադարձությունների տարբեր զարգացումների համար»։

«Դրանք շատ ավելի արդյունավետ են, քան ամերիկյանները, դրանց տեսականին ավելի լայն է ու բազմազան: Միևնույն ժամանակ, Ռուսաստանը դեռևս ձեռնպահ է մնում դրանք ռազմական գործողություններում օգտագործելուց՝ «հասկանալով այն սպառնալիքը, որ նման զինամթերքը ներկայացնում է խաղաղ բնակչության համար»,- նշել է Շոյգուն։

Հիշեցնենք՝ ուրբաթ Միացյալ Նահանգները հայտարարել է, որ Կիևին կասետային զինամթերք կմատակարարի որպես անվտանգության նոր 800 միլիոն դոլար արժողությամբ փաթեթի մաս: Կասետային զինամթերքն արգելված է ավելի քան 100 երկրում, սակայն ԱՄՆ-ն, Ուկրաինան և Ռուսաստանը չեն ստորագրել կասետային զինամթերքի մասին կոնվենցիան, որն արգելում է այդ զենքի արտադրությունը, պահեստավորումը, օգտագործումն ու փոխանցումը։ ԱՄՆ նախագահի՝ ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանը լրագրողներին ասել է, որ Ուկրաինան գրավոր հավաստիացրել է Միացյալ Նահանգներին, որ Վաշինգտոնի կողմից տրամադրվելիք կասետային զինամթերքը չի օգտագործի Ռուսաստանի տարածքում կամ բնակեցված տարածքներում։
