Գտնվելով տոտալ շրջափակման մեջ՝ Արցախի ժողովուրդը կանգնել է թերսնուցման, սովի, Ադրբեջանի կողմից անթաքույց իրականացվող էթնիկ զտման  սպառնալիքի ներքո։

 Այս մասին Ստեփանակերտի Վերածննդի հրապարակում համաժողովրդական հանրահավաքին ասաց ԱՀ ՄԻՊ  Գեղամ Ստեփանյանը։

 Պաշտպանն իր ելույթում դիմեց միջազգային հանրությանը։

«Դիմում եմ միջազգային հանրությանը, ասում եք՝  մարդու իրավունքներ, ուրեմն,   ասե՞ք ես ինչպե՞ս նայեմ այս ժողովրդի աչքերին և ասեմ, որ իրենք էլ ունեն իրավունքներ։ Ես ինչպե՞ս նայեմ թերսնվող հղի կնոջ աչքերին, որի երեխան կարող է արատներով ծնվել, ես ինչպե՞ս նայեմ այն մայրերի աչքերին, որոնց երազանքն իրենց երեխաների համար մի բուռ միրգ կամ քաղցրավենիք հայթայթելն է»,- նշեց Արցախի օմբուդսմենը։

Պաշտպանը միջազգային հանրությանը կոչ արեց միայն մերկապարանոց հայտարարություներ չհնչեցնել, մինչև նրանք մտագոհություններ են հայտնում, 120 000  մարդ ենթարկվում է անմարդկային զրկանքների։

Արցախի ՄԻՊ-ը դիմեց նաև  ռուս խաղապահներին, որոնց եռակողմ հայտարարությամբ վերապահվել է Արցախի ժողովրդի կյանքի իրավունքի և ֆիզիկական գոյության պահպանման հիմնական երաշխավորի դերը։

«Մեզ խաղաղություն էր խոստացվել։ Խաղաղությունն ամեն օր հրադադարի ռեժիմի խախտումներն արձանագրելը չէ։ Խաղաղությունը սեփական հայրենիքում պատանդառված լինելը չէ։  Տե՛ր կանգնեք ձեր մանդատին՝ ապահովելու իրական խաղաղություն»,- հայտարարեց  Գեղամ Ստեփանյանը։
