Այսօր Լաչինի միջանցքի շրջափակումը, Արցախի մեր հայրենակիցների սովամահության լինելու հանգամանքը  շատ բանով պայմանավորված է Փաշինյանի՝ Պրահայում արած հայտարարությամբ, այս մասին հայտարարել է ՀՀ նախկին արտգործնախարար Վարդան Օսկանյանը։
 
«Փաշինյանը մեծ սխալ է արել, նա պետք է ընդունի այդ սխալը և ուղղի։ Այսօր նա հնարավորություն ունի հետ կանգնելու այդ հայտարարությունից՝ ելնելով այսօրվա իրավիճակից։ Նա կարող է հստակ ասել, որ ես ինչ-որ բան եմ փորձել, բայց տեսնում եմ, որ մեր հակառակորդը դա չարաշահում է, ես հետ եմ կանգնում այդ հայտարարությունից և դրա իրավունքը ունեմ» , - ասել է Օսկանյանը։
 
Նախկին պաշտոնյայի խոսքով՝ Փաշինյանի այդ հայտարարության պատճառով ոչ ոք ոչինչ չի կարողանում անել։
 
«Ռուսաստանը դրա մասին արդեն բացահայտ է ասել, այլ կերպ ո՞նց ասեն։ Նրանք ասացին, որ Փաշինյանի հայտարարությունն ու դրա տակ իր ստորագրությունն էապես փոխել են նոյմբերի 9-ի հայտարարության ողջ էությունը։ Արևմուտքը բացահայտ չի ասում, բայց կուլիսային հանդիպումների ժամանակ նույնն է ասում», - նշել է Վարդան Օսկանյանը։
 
Նա նշել է, թե Փաշինյանը հակառակորդին անընդհատ բաներ է խոստանում ու չի իրականացնում.
 
«Վերջիվերջո, ինչ-որ տեղ հակառակորդն անցնելու է այլ գործողությունների, և, հավատացեք, այստեղ միջնորդները ոչինչ չեն կարողանալու անել»։
