Սպիտակ տունը հրապարակել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի հայտարարությունը՝ օգոստոսի 24-ին նշվող Ուկրաինայի անկախության օրվա առթիվ։

«Այսօր Ուկրաինայի ժողովուրդը վերստին նշում է իր անկախության օրը՝ ենթարկվելով Պուտինի ստոր, լայնածավալ հարձակմանը՝ տարածքների և իշխանության համար։ Տասնութ ամիս ուկրաինական ընտանիքներն ապրել են ռուսական հրթիռների ամենօրյա սպառնալիքի և դաժան հարձակումների ներքո: Բայց ուկրաինացի ժողովուրդը չկոտրվեց»,-ասված է Բայդենի հայտարարության մեջ, որը մեջբերում է Ամերիկայի Ձայն-ը։

Այն ընդգծում է՝ 2014 թվականին է Ռուսաստանն առաջին անգամ ներխուժել Ուկրաինա, և «ուկրաինացի խիզախ կանայք ու տղամարդիկ պաշտպանում են Ուկրաինան՝ հիմնարար սկզբունքների նկատմամբ ոտնձգություններից, որոնք [այդ սկզբունքները] չափազանց կարևոր են մոլորակի յուրաքանչյուր պետության համար՝ ինքնիշխանություն և տարածքային ամբողջականություն»։

«Նրանք՝ [ուկրաինացիները] աշխարհին ևս մեկ անգամ ցույց են տալիս, որ ազատության համար արժե պայքարել»,- ընդգծել է Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարը։ Բայդենի խոսքով, «անկախությունը նշանակում է սեփական ապագան ընտրելու ազատություն, որը շատ թանկ է»: 

ԱՄՆ նախագահը խոստացել է, որ գործընկեր-պետությունների հետ Վաշինգտոնը շարունակելու է աջակցել Ուկրաինային՝ հետ մղելու ռուսական ագրեսիան, պաշտպանելու ՄԱԿ-ի կանոնադրությամբ ամրագրված հիմնարար սկզբունքները և օգնելու ուկրաինացի ժողովրդին՝ կառուցելու անվտանգ, բարգավաճ և ծաղկող երկիր:
«Նրանք արժանի են անկախ ապագայի»,- հայտարարել է Ջո Բայդենը։
