Արտակ Զաքարյանը գրում է.
«Երեկ զանգ ստացա իմ վաղեմի մտերիմներից մեկից, ում 2020թ. պատերազմից հետո արգելել էի ինձ հետ շփվել: Լավ կրթություն ունի, մարդկային որակներ, նորմալ աշխատանքային փորձ: Մի խոսքով աշխարհ տեսած, արժեքներ ունեցող, բայց նիկոլական դարձած մարդ է: Բիզնես կարիերայի աճն ու հաջողակ գործունեությունը հասցրել է իրականացնել դեռևս նախորդ իշխանությունների տարիներից: Կարծես թե դժգոհ չէր: 2018թ. անհասկանալի կերպով, իմ այս նախկին մտերիմը դարձավ թունդ նիկոլական: Իհարկե շփվում էինք, հիմնականում` վիճում, կարծիքներ փոխանակում և այլն: Բայց պահում էինք հարաբերություններն ու փոխադարձ հարգանքը:
2020թ. պատերազմից անմիջապես հետո մեկ անգամ ենք զրուցել, որից հետո նրան խնդրել եմ չշփվել ինձ հետ: Ինքն էլ կարծես չառարկեց:
Երեկ, նրա իրար հերթ չտվող համառ զանգերն ինձ ստիպեցին պատասխանել. մտածեցի ինչ-որ բան է պատահել: Թախծոտ ձայնով բարևեց ու խնդրեց, որ գոնե կարճ ժամանակով հանդիպենք:
Հանդիպեցինք: Ներողությունների, ափսոսանքի, խաբված լինելու, մոլորվելու ու սխալը գիտակցելու մի երկար շարք լսեցի նրանից: Հատկապես ազդվել էր Արցախում տիրող իրավիճակից, Հայաստանին սպառնացող նոր պատերազմի և պետականության կորստի վտանգներից, ինչպես նաև չդադարող կոռուպցիայից: Հատ հատ վերհիշում էր մեր նախորդ զրույցներն ու վեճերը…
Զարմացած չեմ, յուրաքանչյուրս ենք սխալական: Հարցը նրանում է, թե ե՞րբ ես գիտակցում և ի՞նչ է արժենում այդ սխալը: Աններելի, անուղղելի, անդառնալի հետևանքներով ու մեծ կորուստներով սխալները…
Ինձ համար անսպասելի կերպով խոստովանեց նաև, որ բարոյապես գիտակցում է իր մեղքի բաժինը` չհիմնավորված հազարավոր զոհերի և դավադրաբար հանձնված հայրենիքի հարցում:
Ի՞նչ անել, չգիտեմ: Առայժմ չեմ կարողանում ներողամտություն գտնել իմ մեջ, մի տեսակ չի ստացվում: Ինքս ինձ չեմ կարողանում կեղծել: Բայց հավատում եմ նրա անկեղծությանն ու ազնվությանը»:
