Ադրբեջանի կողմից Հայաստանի հետ սահմանին զորքերի կուտակման մասին լուրերի տարածումից հետո Հայաստանում Եվրոպական Միության դիտորդական առաքելությունն ուժեղացրել է պարեկությունը սահմանային այդ հատվածներում․ դիտորդներն իրենց աչքով տեսածը հաղորդել  են Բրյուսել։  

«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում այս մասին ասել է Հայաստանում Եվրոպական Միության դիտորդական առաքելության ղեկավար Մարկուս Ռիտերը։  

«Երբ եղան ադրբեջանական ուժերի կուտակումների մասին խոսակցություններն ու լուրերը, մենք սահմանի այդ հատվածներում ավելացրեցինք մեր պարեկների թիվը։ Մենք մեր տեսածը պարբերաբար հաղորդել ենք Բրյուսել։ Մենք նաև X-ում գրառումներ ենք արել` կոչ անելով բարելավել իրավիճակը և թուլացնել լարվածությունը։ Կարծես թե, մինչ այս պահը դա աշխատել է»,- նշեց Ռիտերը։

Ռիտերն անդրադարձավ  նաև Իջևանում ԵՄ առաքելության օպերատիվ գրասենյակի բացմանը՝ նշելով, որ այն հնարավորություն կտա, որպեսզի դիտորդները օր ու գիշեր պարեկություն իրականացնեն Տավուշի մարզի սահմանային հատվածներում։

«Այսօր մենք Իջևանում բացել ենք Հայաստանում Եվրոպական Միության դիտորդական առաքելության գրասենյակը՝ Տավուշի մարզում պարեկություն իրականացնելու համար։ Մինչ այս պահը մենք այս մարզում պարեկությունը իրականացնում էինք Մարտունիի մեր գրասենյակի միջոցով։ Այստեղ հասնելու համար երկար ճանապարհ էինք անցնում, նաև քիչ էր պարեկների թիվը։ Հիմա, այստեղ ունենալով մշտական բազա, մենք կարող ենք օր ու գիշեր պարեկություն իրականացնել Ադրբեջանի հետ սահմանի երկայնքով»,- մանրամասնեց նա։

Մարկուս Ռիտերը նաև հայտնեց, որ այս շաբաթվա վերջում կբացեն ԵՄ դիտորդական առաքելության գլխավոր շտաբը Եղեգնաձորում։  «Մեր գլխավոր շտաբը կիսված է՝ մեկը Եղեգնաձորում է, մյուսը՝ Երևանում։ Այսպիսով, ուրբաթ օրվանից մենք Եղեգնաձորում միասնական շտաբ կունենանք։ Ավելի ուշ մենք Եղեգնաձորում նաև օպերատիվ բազա կբացենք՝ Նախիջևանին սահմանակից հատվածներում պարեկություն իրականացնելու համար»,- ասաց ԵՄ դիտորդական առաքելության ղեկավարը։
