Տարեսկզբից Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա են ժամանել շուրջ 19 հազար միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ

2016 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից մինչեւ 11-ը Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա են ժամանել 18 հազար 882 միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ, 53 մարդ զոհվել Է ծովում:
Այդ մասին Ժնեւում կայացած ճեպազրույցում հայտնել Է Միգրացիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության (ՄՄԿ) պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ջոել Միլմանը:
«Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա ժամանած միգրանտների թիվը 2016 թվականի առաջին 11 օրվա ընթացքում հասել Է 18 հազար 882-ի,-նշել Է նա:-Միջին հաշվով օրական ժամանում Է ավելի քան 1700 մարդ»:
Հիմնական հոսքը, ինչպես եղել Է 2015 թվականին, այժմ ուղեւորվում Է Հունաստան, ուր ընթացիկ տարվա սկզբից ժամանել Է 18 հազար 615 մարդ: Իտալիայում գրանցվել Է 257 ժամանած: Ինչպես նշել Է Միլմանը, անցյալ տարի Հունաստան միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ են ժամանել ավելի քան 70 երկրներից՝ շուրջ 850 հազար մարդ: Հիմնականում նրանք սիրիացիներ են (շուրջ 486 հազար մարդ), աֆղանցիներ (ավելի քան 205 հազար) եւ իրաքցիներ (շուրջ 87 հազար մարդ):
Ըստ ՄՄԿ-ի տվյալների, ընդամենը 2015 թվականին Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա են ժամանել 1 մլն 4 հազար 356 միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ: Սա ավելի քան քառակի շատ Է, քան 2014 թվականին, երբ ժամանածների թիվը 219 հազար մարդ Էր, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
