«Չենք գիտակցել, որ ԼՂ հարցը, ցավոք, հայկական փաստարկներով չէ, որ կարգավորվելու է, այլ` ԼՂ հարցի վերաբերյալ կան միջազգային փաստարկներ, իրավական պարտադիր ուժ ունեցող որոշումներ, որը մենք հավատացել ենք, որ հայկական փաստարկներով կարող ենք թուլացնել, կարող ենք հաղթահարել, կարող ենք զրոյացնել»,- ԱԺ-ում այս մասին հայտարարեց Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:
Նա ասաց, թե ինքը հայկական փաստարկներին պակաս նվիրված չի եղել, որքան նվիրված է ընդդիմությունը:
«Պրոբլեմն այն է, որ հայկական փաստարկով չենք կարող, այսօր էլ չենք կարող ու հետո էլ չենք կարողանալու լուծել որևէ հարց»,- ասաց նա:
Փաշինյանի խոսքով՝ իր այս խոսքերի ապացույցն այն է, որ եթե հնարավոր լիներ, ընդդիմությունը ժամանակին կլուծեր այդ հարցն ու չէր հասնի իրեն:
Անդրադառնալով ՀՀ երկրորդ նախագահ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի հայտարարությանը, ով ասել է, որ բանակցային գործընթացում պետք էր հույս տալ Ադրբեջանին, որ հարցն ինքն առանց պատերազմի կլուծեր, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ասաց. «Մենք չենք կարողացել Ադրբեջանին հույս տալ, որովհետև հույս տալու ռեսուրսը վերջացել էր: Երբ եկանք իշխանության, արդեն ձեր տված հույսերն իրականանացնելու ժամանակն էր եկել, սա է ամբողջ պատմությունը»,- հայտարարեց Փաշինյանը:
