«Ֆուտբոլի դաշտի չափ մեծ տարածք է եղել, որի ներքևի մաս աստիճաններ էին տանում․ մարդիկ հերթով իջնում էին ու տարաները լցնում։ Վերևում էլ մարդիկ հորից դույլով բենզին էին բարձրացնում, ինձ շատ պետք չէր, դրա համար վերևում էի հերթ բռնել, համ էլ չէի ուզում իջնել ու շնչել այդ ամենը։ Ով ծխում էր, տղաները միանգամից ուղարկում էին փշալարի մյուս կողմ։ Մի պահ տեսա, որ փշալարի մյուս կողմում մի երեք հոգի ծխում են, բայց դե նրանք հեռու էին»,- ՍիվիլՆեթի հետ զրույցում ասաց Խաչատուր Հայրիյանը, որը երեկ Ասկերանի շրջանում գտնվող վառելիքի պահեստի պայթյունի ականատեսն է դարձել։ Այս օրերին Արցախից Հայաստան տեղահանվող քաղաքացիները փորձում են վառելիքի հարց լուծել։
Խաչատուրը ասում է, որ ռեզերվուարի վերևում երկու անցք կար՝ մեկը օդափոխանակման համար, մյուսը՝ հորի․ «Հերթը արդեն ինձ էր հասնում և մի պահ օդափոխանակման անցքը օդը ներս քաշեց, հետո հասկացա, որ դա պայթյունի սկիզբն էր, միանգամից պայթեց ու մարդկանց շպրտեց տարբեր ուղղություններով»։
