Հայաստանում կայացել է բնության պահպանության ոլորտի ամենաակնառու ներկայացուցիչներից մեկի՝ Վիվեկ Մենոնի «Խոշոր պլանում՝ թռչունները» ցուցահանդեսի բացումը։  Վերջինս նաև բնապահպանական նշանակալի ձեռքբերումների համար միջազգային մի շարք մրցանակներ է ստացել, մի քանի գրքի հեղինակ է, ԲՊՄՄ տարածաշրջանային խորհրդատու, ինչպես նաև՝ Wildlife Trust of India բնապահպանական կազմակերպության հիմնադիր-տնօրենը:

Ցուցահանդեսի բացման օրը՝ հոկտեմբերի 16-ին Վիվեկ Մենոնը դարձավ նաև Վայրի բնության և մշակութային արժեքների պահպանման հիմնադրամի կողմից (FPWC) սահմանված «Կանաչ մարտիկ» մրցանակի առաջին դափնեկիրը:

Ցուցահանդեսը վտանգված թռչունների լուսանկարների ընտրանի է, որը կազմվել է հեղինակի շուրջ 100 երկրներում արված հազարավոր լուսանկարներից: Միջոցառմանը ներկա է գտնվել և շնորհավորական խոսք է ասել նաև Հայաստանում Հնդկաստանի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան տիկին Նիլակշի Սահա Սինհան։

Հիշեցնենք, որ հոկտեմբերի 16-18-ը Հայաստանում տեղի է ունեցել (ԲՊՄՄ/IUCN) Եվրոպայի, Հյուսիսային և Կենտրոնական Ասիայի համայնքի հանդիպումը։  Վիվեկ Մենոնը ևս համաժողովի մասնակից է։ Համաժողովի  ընթացքում քննարկվել տարածաշրջանին և աշխարհին վերաբերող մի շարք կարևորագույն թեմաներ, ինչպես, օրինակ՝ երիտասարդներին հետաքրքրելու և նրանց ներգրավման վերաբերյալ։ Մասնակիցներն առաջին աղբյուրից լսել IUCN դերի և գործառույթների, օգտագործվող գործիքների և ամենակարևորը՝ կենսաբազմազանության պահպանության խնդիրների մասին, որոնց բախվում են բոլորը և մշտապես։
