Թուրքիայի արտգործնախարար Հաքան Ֆիդանը կարծում է, որ միայն Իսրայելի և ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի միջև հակամարտության լիարժեք կարգավորումը թույլ կտա խուսափել նոր համաշխարհային պատերազմից։ Ինչպես փոխանցում է Al Jazeera-ն՝ ըստ Ֆիդանի՝ համաշխարհային հանրությունը ներկայում «պատմության շրջադարձային փուլում է»։
«Կամ մենք կհասնենք կայուն խաղաղության, կամ կսկսվի համաշխարհային պատերազմ։ Կոչ ենք անում տարածաշրջանային և միջազգային շահագրգիռ բոլոր կողմերին՝ ականջալուր լինել բանականության ձայնին։ Նրանք, ովքեր խրախուսում են Իսրայելին շարունակել իր հանցագործությունները, նույնպես պատասխանատվություն են կրում։ Եթե մենք արագ չգործենք, մեզ շատ ավելի մռայլ օրեր են սպասվում»,- նշել է Ֆիդանը Կատարի իր պաշտոնակցի՝ Մուհամմեդ բեն Աբդերահման Ալ Թանիի հետ հանդիպումից հետո կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսում:
Նա նաև հավելել է, որ Իսրայելը պետք է գիտակցի, որ չի կարող խաղաղության և անվտանգության հասնել բռնության միջոցով։
Ֆիդանն ընդգծել է, որ իրավիճակից դուրս գալու միակ ելքը 1967 թվականի սահմանների վրա հիմնված անկախ Պաղեստին պետության ստեղծումն է Արևելյան Երուսաղեմ մայրաքաղաքով։
