Մարդը «մագնիսի մեջ». Ռայմոնդ Դամադյան

«Նրանք ինձ խելագար էին համարում, երբ ես լսարանին ներկայացնում էի անմիտ թվացող այն գաղափարը, որ մարդուն կարելի է դնել մագնիսի մեջ». Այս խոսքերի հեղինակը Ռեյմոնդ Վահան Դամադյանն է՝ մեծանուն գյուտարար և գիտնական, MRI-ի (մագնիսա-ռեզոնանսային տոմոգրաֆ) ստեղծողին: Առանց այս սարքավորման անհնար է այսօր պատկերացնել ժամանակակից բժշկությունը:
Դամադյանը պարգևատրվել է ԱՄՆ Տեխնոլոգիայի ոլորտի պետական շքանշանով, ներառված է Ազգային գյուտարարների փառքի դիվանում և «ՄՌՏ տեսածրիչի հայտնագործության համար» ստացել է Մասաչուսեթսի տեխնոլոգիական համալսարանի Լեմելսոնի անվան մրցանակը, որը տրվում է գյուտարարներին։ Նրա առաջին սարքավորումը, որը կրում էր «Անսանձելի» («Indomitable») անունը, պահպանվում է Վաշինգթոնի Սմիթսոնյան թանգարանում։
Ռեյմոնդ Դամադյանն իր ուրույն տեղն ունի աշխարհի ամենաականավոր գյուտարարների շարքում, իսկ նրա ստեղծած սարքավորումը հեղափոխական նշանակություն ունեցավ ժամանակակից բժշկության համար: Դամադյանի գյուտն այն հաջողված օրինակներից է, երբ գիտությունը դառնում է կիրառելի ցանկացած մարդու կյանքում:
Հենց գիտության կիրառականությունն է դրված դեկտեմբերի 1-2-ին Երևանում անցկացվելիք «Գիտության և գործարարության օրեր 2023» համաժողովի նախաձեռնության առանցքում: Գիտությունը որպես գործիք՝ մարդու, պետության զարգացման ու անվտանգության համար, այսպիսին է համաժողովի բովանդակային հայեցակարգը: Նախաձեռնությունը ՀՀ էկոնոմիկայի նախարարությանն է,առաջին անգամ այն Հայաստանում կայացել է 2022 թվականին:
