«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Այս օրերին իշխանությունն անթաքույց սկսել է «քարկոծել» պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար, պահեստի գեներալ-մայոր Արշակ Կարապետյանին: Ի մասնավորի, Կարապետյանի թերացումների հետ կապված բավականին կոշտ անդրադարձներ է կատարել քպական Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանը՝ նշելով, թե Քառօրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ հետախուզությունը թերացել է, եղել են լուրջ բացթողումներ (նշենք, որ Կարապետյանը այդ ժամանակ եղել է զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի հետախուզության վարչության պետը, իսկ Քառօրյայից հետո ազատվել էր զբաղեցրած պաշտոնից)։
Սա ուշագրավ է այն առումով, որ այն ժամանակ, երբ Կարապետյանն «իրենցն» էր, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ու մյուս քպականները ջանասիրաբար ոչ միայն պաշտպանում էին Կարապետյանին, այլև դիֆերամբներ ձոնում վերջինիս: Այդ թվում՝ նույն Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանը՝ Քառօրյա պատերազմի հանգամանքներն ուսումնասիրող ԱԺ քննիչ հանձնաժողովի աշխատանքների ժամանակ: Հիմա «բան է փոխվել»:
Եվ փոխվել է այն բանից հետո, երբ պաշտոնանկությունից մոտ մեկուկես տարի անց Արշակ Կարապետյանը հանկարծ քաղաքական հայտ ներկայացրեց և սկսեց քննադատական գնահատականներ հնչեցնել իշխող թիմի հասցեին։ Ընդ որում, այդ մեկուկես տարին լռելուց հետո: Հնարավոր է՝ ինչ-որ սպասումով, ինչի մասին մամուլը ոչ մեկ անգամ գրել է: Այսինքն, ժամանակին արդեն մեկ անգամ պաշտոնազրկված անձը իշխանափոխությունից հետո զբաղեցնում էր վարչապետի խորհրդականի, իսկ աղետաբեր պատերազմից հետո՝ Հայաստանի զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի պետի առաջին տեղակալի, պաշտպանության նախարարի առաջին տեղակալի ու նույնիսկ մի կարճ շրջան պաշտպանության նախարարի պաշտոնները, ու այդ ժամանակ ամեն ինչ հիանալի էր, Կարապետյանն էլ՝ «սրբություն սրբոց»։
Հիմա նա դարձել է վատը, մեղավոր, ընդ որում՝ ոչ միայն հետիշխանափոխության շրջանի պաշտոնավարման համար, այլև այն ժամանակների, ինչի համար պաշտոնանկ էր արվել: Ի դեպ, անկարևոր չէ նշել, որ իշխանությունների քննադատության առանցքային պատճառը միայն Կարապետյանի՝ քաղաքականություն մտնելը չէ. առաջնային «թեզն» այն է, թե Կարապետյանը ՀՀ-ում իրականացնում է ռուսական հատուկ ծառայությունների պատվեր, այսինքն՝ նրան հարվածելու արշավը նույնպես հակառուսական հերթական դոզայի շրջանակներում է:
