ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը Կալիֆոռնիայի Վուդսայդ քաղաքում հանդիպել է Չինաստանի նախագահ Սի Ծինփինի հետ:

Սպիտակ տան հաղորդագրության համաձայն՝ երկու ղեկավարները անկեղծ և կառուցողական քննարկում են անցկացրել մի շարք երկկողմ և գլոբալ հարցերի շուրջ, կարծիքներ են փոխանակել տարաձայնությունների վերաբերյալ:

Բայդենն ընդգծել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգներն ու Չինաստանը մրցակցում են, և աշխարհն ակնկալում է, որ նրանք պատասխանատու կերպով կկառավարեն մրցակցությունը, որպեսզի այն չվերածվի հակամարտության, առճակատման կամ նոր սառը պատերազմի:

Կողմերն անդրադարձել են Հնդկա-Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի իրավիճակին: «Նախագահ Բայդենը մտահոգություն է հայտնել ՉԺՀ-ում, այդ թվում՝ Սինծյանում, Տիբեթում և Հոնկոնգում մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների կապակցությամբ»,- նշել է Բայդենի մամուլի ծառայությունը, հավելել, որ Թայվանի հարցում ԱՄՆ-ը հավատարիմ է «մեկ Չինաստանի» քաղաքականությանը և դեմ է ստատուս քվոյի միակողմանի փոփոխություններին:

Բայդենը հաստատել է նաև ԱՄՆ շարունակական աջակցությունն Ուկրաինային, ինչպես նաև ահաբեկչությունից ինքնապաշտպանվելու Իսրայելի իրավունքին և կարևորել է, որ բոլոր երկրներն օգտագործեն իրենց ազդեցությունը՝ կանխելու տարածաշրջանում հակամարտության հետագա ընդլայնումը:

Չինաստանի ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մաո Նինն էլ ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ հայտարարել է, որ Սի Ծինփինի և Ջո Բայդենի հանդիպումը պետք է նոր մեկնակետ դառնա Պեկինի և Վաշինգտոնի հարաբերություններում:

«Երկխոսությունն ու համագործակցությունը միակ ճիշտ ընտրությունն են Չինաստանի և ԱՄՆ-ի համար: Սան Ֆրանցիսկոյում տեղի ունեցած հանդիպումը պետք է նոր ելակետ դառնա չին-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների կայունացման համար, նոր հեռանկարներ ստեղծի և է՛լ ավելի ամրապնդի երկու երկրների հարաբերությունների բազան»,- ասել է պաշտոնյան:

Նրա խոսքով՝ հանդիպմանը բազմաթիվ ոլորտներում դրական արդյունքներ են գրանցվել։ Նինն ասել է, որ նախագահների բանակցությունները վկայում են՝ փոխադարձ շահերը չին-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների կարևորագույն մասն են:
