Նոյեմբերի 17-ին նշվում է Ուսանողների միջազգային օրը

Ուսանողների միջազգային օրը կամ ուսանողների միջազգային համերաշխության օրը ամենամյա տոն է, որը նշվում է նոյեմբերի 17-ին։
1939 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 28-ին՝ ֆաշիստների կողմից գրավված Չեխոսլովակիայում, ուսանողները և դասախոսները դուրս են գալիս փողոց, որպեսզի նշեն Չեխոսլովակիայի պետության կազմավորման (1918-ի հոկտեմբերի 28) տարեդարձը։ Սակայն խաղաղ ցույցը ցրվում է զավթիչների կողմից։ Այդ իրադարձությունների ժամանակ գնդակահարվում է բժշկական ֆակուլտետի ուսանող Յան Օպլետալը (Jan Opletal), ում հուղարկավորությունը վերածվում է բողոքի ակցիայի, ձերբակալվում են տասնյակ ուսանողներ։ Նոյեմբերի 17-ի վաղ առավոտյան գեստապոյականներն ու էսէսականները շրջապատում են ուսանողական հանրակացարանները։ Շուրջ 1200 ուսանող ձերբակալվում և ուղարկվում է Զաքսենհաուզենի համակենտրոնացման ճամբար։ Տասնյակ ուսանողներ ու շարժման ակտիվիստներ բանտի պատերից ներս՝ առանց դատի ենթակվում են մահապատժի։ Հիտլերի հրամանով չեխական բոլոր բարձրագույն ուսումնական հաստատությունները փակվում են մինչև պատերազմի ավարտը։
Երկու տարի անց, Լոնդոնում տեղի է ունենում ֆաշիզմի դեմ պայքարող ուսանողների միջազգային հանդիպում, որի ժամանակ որոշվում է ի հիշատակ նահատակ հայրենասեր ուսանողների նոյեմբերի 17-ը ամեն տարի նշել որպես ուսանողի օր։ 1946 թվականի նոյեմբերի 17-ին՝ Պրահայում ընթացող Ուսանողների համաշխարհային կոնգրեսը այդ օրը հռչակում է Ուսանողության միջազգային օր։
