Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդունել է Չարլզ Կուպչանին

Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր ընդունել է ԱՄՆ ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի Եվրոպայի գործերով պատասխանատու, Եվրոպայի հարցերով ԱՄՆ Նախագահի գլխավոր խորհրդատու Չարլզ Կուպչանին:
Ողջունելով հյուրին՝ Հանրապետության Նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել երկկողմ բարձրաստիճան փոխայցերը, որոնք, նրա համոզմամբ, դրական ազդեցություն են ունենում միջպետական հարաբերությունների վրա բոլոր ոլորտներում: Սերժ Սարգսյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ պարոն Կուպչանի այցը ևս իր նպաստը կբերի երկկողմ փոխգործակցության զարգացմանը: ՀՀ Նախագահը գոհունակությամբ է փաստել, որ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատումից ի վեր հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունները մշտապես զարգացում են ունեցել: Սերժ Սարգսյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Միացյալ Նահանգներին՝ Հայաստանին ցուցաբերվող օժանդակության համար, որի արդյունքում եղել են ձեռքբերումներ տարբեր ոլորտներում: Նախագահը կարևորել է ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացմանը, բարեփոխումներին, ժողովրդավարության և քաղաքացիական հասարակության կայացմանը ցուցաբերված ԱՄՆ աջակցությունն ու տարածաշրջանում կայունության ապահովմանն ուղղված Միացյալ Նահանգների կառավարության շարունակական ջանքերը:
Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել անվտանգության ոլորտում համագործակցությանը, Հայաստան-ՆԱՏՕ փոխգործակցությանը, խաղաղապահ առաքելություններին Հայաստանի մասնակցությանը, միջազգային արդի խնդիրներին ու մարտահրավերներին, տարածաշրջանում առկա իրավիճակին, ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթացին, ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների զարգացման հեռանկարին և փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող մի շարք այլ հարցերի:
Չարլզ Կուպչանը նշել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները բարձր է գնահատում Հայաստանի հանձնառությունը աշխարհում խաղաղության և անվտանգության ապահովման գործում ստանձնած միջազգային պարտավորություններին և գոհունակությամբ է փաստել, որ Հայաստանն այդ առումով պատրաստակամ է նպաստել ՆԱՏՕ-ի միջազգային և բազմակողմ ձևաչափով այլ կազմակերպությունների ջանքերին:
