Սիրիայում և Իրաքում ամերիկացի զինծառայողների կողմից վերահսկվող ռազմակայանները վերջին 1 ամսվա ընթացքում ենթարկվել են 58 հարձակման: Այս մասին լրագրողներին հայտնել է Պենտագոնի մամուլի քարտուղարի տեղակալ Սաբրինա Սինգհը։

«Հոկտեմբերի 17-ից ի վեր մեր զինծառայողների դեմ եղել է 58 հարձակում, որոնք բոլորն էլ ձախողվել են։ Դրանք որևէ զգալի վնաս չեն հասցրել ենթակառուցվածքին և լուրջ չեն վնասել մեր որևէ զինծառայողի։ Բոլոր վիրավորված զինծառայողներն արդեն վերադարձել են ծառայության», - ասել է Սինգհը։

Պենտագոնի ներկայացուցիչը հավելել է, որ բոլոր հարձակումներին պատասխան է տրվել․ հարվածներ են հասցվել հրամանատարական կենտրոնի, զենքի պահեստի և մարտիկների վերապատրաստման օբյեկտի։

«Եթե հետագայում էլի հարձակումներ լինեն, մենք, անշուշտ, կպատասխանենք մեր նախընտրած ժամին և մեր նախընտրած վայրում», - ասել  է նա։

Հարձակումներից 27-ը եղել են Իրաքում, 31-ը՝ Սիրիայում։ Դրանք իրականացվել են հրթիռների և անօդաչու թռչող սարքերի միջոցով։

Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը նախազգուշացրել էր, որ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում երկիրը նոր հարվածներ կհասցնի Մերձավոր Արևելքում ամերիկացի զինծառայողների դեմ հարձակումներ իրականացնող խմբավորումներին։

Իր հերթին նոյեմբերի 17-ին Sky News Arabia հեռուստաալիքը հաղորդել է, որ անօդաչու թռչող սարքը հարված է հասցրել Իրաքի հյուսիսում գտնվող Ալ Հարիր ավիաբազային, որտեղ տեղակայված են ամերիկյան և միջազգային ուժեր: Պատճառված վնասի մասին տեղեկություն առայժմ չի ստացվել։ Հարձակման պատասխանատվությունն ստանձնել է «Իրաքի իսլամական դիմադրություն» կազմակերպությունը, որն ամերիկյան ռազմակայանի վրա հարձակումը բացատրել է «Գազայի հատվածում հակառակորդի հանցագործություններով»։ Կազմակերպությունը պնդում է, որ ԱԹՍ-ն խոցել է նախատեսված թիրախը։
