«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Որպես ինժեներ և գյուտարար՝ Էմանուել Նոբելի որդին՝ Ալֆրեդը, մանկուց հետաքրքրված էր տեխնոլոգիաներով, մասնավորապես պայթուցիկների արտադրությամբ։ Դրան նպաստել էր նաև այն, որ հայրը հաջողությունների էր հասել պայթուցիկ նյութերի արտադրության մեջ։ Երիտասարդ տարիներին Ֆրանսիա ճանապարհորդելիս Ալֆրեդ Նոբելը հանդիպել է Ասկանիո Սոբրերոյին, որը 1847 թվականին հայտնաբերել էր նիտրոգլիցերինը։ Չնայած ինքը՝ Սոբրերոն, դեմ էր պայթուցիկ նյութերի արտադրության մեջ նիտրոգլիցերինի օգտագործմանը, քանի որ համարում էր, որ այդ նյութը դժվար է կառավարել, այնուամենայնիվ, Նոբելը վերցրեց նրա գյուտը։ Նոբելը հաստատվեց Փարիզում, նա սիրում էր Ֆրանսիան և սկսեց անել այն, ինչ գիտեր՝ հայտնագործել։

Ավելի քան 200 փորձի արդյունքում Նոբելը նիտրոգլիցերինի հիմքով ստացավ պլաստիկ դինամիտ։ Անգամ կա մի կիսաառասպելական պատմություն, որ փորձերի ժամանակ Ալֆրեդը լրջորեն վնասել է մատը կամ ձեռքը և այն բուժել կոլոդիոնով, որը հիմնված է ալկոհոլի և կոլոքսիլինի վրա: Այդ գիշեր նա չի կարողացել քնել ցավից, բայց ժամանակ է ունեցել մտածելու և որոշել է օգտագործել կոլոքսիլինն ու հասել է արդյունքի: Ավելի իրատեսական տարբերակն այն է, որ Նոբելը փորձել է տարբեր նյութերի համադրություն և, ի վերջո, նիտրոգլիցերինին կոլոքսիլին ավելացրել: Ստացված նյութն ունեցել է դոնդողանման ձև և հայտնի է դարձել որպես պլաստիկ դինամիտ, որը պաշտոնապես արտոնագրվել է 1876 թվականին։ Այն վաճառքի է հանվել տարբեր անվանումներով՝ սկսած «դինամիտ էքստրա»-ից մինչև «պայթուցիկ ժելատին»:

Նույնիսկ գիտնական Նիլս Աբելը, որը երկար ժամանակ խանգարում էր Նոբելի աշխատանքին Բրիտանիայում, պլաստիկ դինամիտն անվանել է կատարյալ ամեն իմաստով: Աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներում դինամիտի և դրա գործարանների համալիրի վաճառքից ստացված շահույթը Նոբելին դարձրել է իր ժամանակի ամենահարուստ մարդկանցից մեկը։ Ալֆրեդ Նոբելի գյուտը 19-րդ դարում հեղաշրջում է կատարել հանքարդյունաբերության ոլորտում։ Բելինի խոսքերով, վառոդի լիցքերով օգտակար հանածոների արդյունահանումը խնդրահարույց էր և, որ ամենակարևորն է, ոչ անվտանգ: Վառոդին փոխարինող դինամիտը տասնամյակներ շարունակ օգտագործվել է, բայց հետո ինչ-որ պահի այն սկսել է հնանալ և փոխարինվել է ավելի առաջադեմ պայթուցիկներով: Բանն այն է, որ արտադրության տնտեսական արդյունավետության առումով դինամիտները զգալիորեն զիջում են ամոնիումի նիտրատի հիման վրա հիմնված ավելի ժամանակակից պայթուցիկներին։

Դինամիտը ժամանակին օգտագործվել է նաև պատերազմներում, բայց դժկամությամբ և զգուշությամբ: Դա պայմանավորված է այդ պայթուցիկի զգայունությամբ. այն կարող է հեշտությամբ պայթել, եթե պահվում է ոչ պատշաճ կերպով: Ներկայում որոշ երկրներում դինամիտը մինչ օրս էլ արտադրվում է, բայց սահմանափակ քանակությամբ։ Այն արտադրվում է, օրինակ՝ Ֆինլանդիայում և ԱՄՆ-ում։ ԱՄՆում արտադրությամբ զբաղվում է միայն մեկ ընկերություն։ Դինամիտը սովորաբար երբեմն օգտագործվում է տարբեր չափերի «փամփուշտներում», որոնք լցվում են պլաստիկ կամ փոշիացված պայթուցիկով: Դինամիտը նաև դեռ օգտագործվում է հանքարդյունաբերության մեջ կամ շենքերի քանդման համար:
