Գիտնականները Մարսում տարօրինակ փայլ են հայտնաբերել

Բելգիայի Լիեժի համալսարանի գիտնականներն առաջին անգամ օգտագործել են NOMAD սպեկտրոմետրը Եվրոպական տիեզերական գործակալության Trace Gas Orbiter-ի վրա՝ էլեկտրամագնիսական սպեկտրի տեսանելի մասում Մարսի մթնոլորտի կանաչ փայլը հայտնաբերելու համար: Գիտական հոդվածը հրապարակվել է Nature Astronomy ամսագրում։
Հետազոտողները նշել են, որ այս հայտնագործությունը կարող է փոխել կարմիր մոլորակի գազային ծածկույթի մասին պատկերացումները: Փայլը նման է Ավրորային, սակայն Մարսի մթնոլորտը բարակ է, և գլոբալ մագնիսական դաշտ չկա: Աշխատանքի հեղինակների կարծիքով՝ փայլը թթվածնի ատոմների վերահամակցման հետևանք է, որոնք, բախվելով մոլորակի գազային թաղանթի վերին շերտերում, արտանետում են ֆոտոններ։
Ապագայում աշխատանքի հեղինակները նախատեսում են նոր տվյալներ ստանալ մոլորակի մթնոլորտի վերին շերտերում թթվածնի բաշխման և խտության, ինչպես նաև արեգակնային էներգիայի հետ դրա փոխազդեցության բնույթի վերաբերյալ։ Սա կօգնի ստեղծել կարմիր մոլորակի մթնոլորտի ավելի ճշգրիտ մոդել դեպի Մարս ապագա մարդկային առաքելությունների համար:
