«Երբ որ մարդ բարի գործ է անում, սատանան, որ աներևույթ է, խառնվում է բարի գործերին և իր արբանյակներով ուզում է, որ ստվեր գցի բարի մարդու վրա, իսկ Աստվածաշունչը խոսք ունի, որտեղ ասում է՝ ցնծացեք և ուրախացեք, ձեր վարձքը երկնքում շատ մեծ է», - մեզ հետ զրույցում Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանն այսպես արձագանքեց մամուլում շրջանառվող լուրերին, թե քաղաքի Սուրբ Ամենափրկիչ եկեղեցու շինարարության համար հանգանակված գումարները յուրացվել են վերջինիս կողմից։

Անգամ «Փաստեր» հաղորդաշարի շրջանակներում է անդրադարձ եղել այս թեմային, նշվել է, որ 1995 թվականից ընթացող Ամենափրկչի վերականգնման աշխատանքները ոչ մի կերպ չեն ավարտվում, չնայած «այս տարիների ընթացքում հատկացվել է ավելի քան 3 մլն դոլար, որով
հնարավոր էր մի քանի նմանատիպ եկեղեցի կառուցել»։

«Էդ լուրերը գրողներն էլ, տարածողներն էլ Աստծուց գտնեն», - ասաց նախկին քաղաքապետը: Հիմա ուզում եք ասել, որ եկեղեցու շինարարության ժամանակ ոչ մի չարաշահում չի՞ եղել. Ձեր կողմից։ «Ցնծացեք և ուրախացեք։ Ես ճգնավոր չեմ, ոչ էլ սուրբ եմ, բայց երբ որ սրբերին ասում են՝ դու գող ես, ասում էր՝ ես գող եմ։ Երբ ասում էին, թե դու անբարոյական ես, ասում էր՝ անբարոյական եմ։ Բայց երբ որ վերջում ասում էին, թե դու աղանդավոր ես, ասում էր՝ էդ մեկը՝ չէ։ Այսքանը։ Սրանից հետո ինչ ուզում եք՝ ասեք», -նկատեց Ղուկասյանը՝ հավելելով, որ ինքը շատ լավ գիտի, թե որտեղից են տարածվում այդ լուրերը, ովքեր են դրանց պատվիրատունները։

«Թող գրեն, ես ուրախանում եմ։ Ինչքան նման բաներ գրեն, իմ ռեյտինգը դրանից ավելի ա բարձրանում», - եզրափակեց Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետը»,–գրում է թերթը։
