Ամեն տարի դեկտեմբերի 1-ին նշվում է ՁԻԱՀ-ի դեմ պայքարի համաշխարհային օրը: Ամբողջ աշխարհում մարդիկ միավորվում են՝ աջակցություն ցուցաբերելու ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ով ապրող մարդկանց և հարգելու մահացածների հիշատակը:

Օրվա նպատակն է բարձրացնել իրազեկվածությունը, համերաշխություն ցուցաբերել ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի դեմ պայքարում, խոսել հիվանդության կանխարգելման միջոցառումների, բուժման ու խնամքի մասին։

ՁԻԱՀ-ի դեմ պայքարի համաշխարհային օրվա այս տարվա կարգախոսն է` «Թող համայնքներն առաջնորդեն»։ Այն ընտրվել է նշանավորելու այն կարևոր ազդեցությունը, որն ունեն համայնքները հիվանդության դեմ պայքարում։

Մեր երկրում` ՀՀ քաղաքացիների շրջանում, 2023 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից մինչև հոկտեմբերի 31-ը ներառյալ ախտորոշվել է ՄԻԱՎ-ի 421 նոր դեպք (293-ը՝ արական և 128-ը՝ իգական սեռի շրջանում)։ Նույն ժամանակահատվածում ախտորոշվել է ՁԻԱՀ-ի 183 դեպք (135-ը՝ արական և 48-ը՝ իգական սեռի շրջանում):

Բուժօգնությունն իրականացվում է բացառապես անվճար, այդ թվում` ախտորոշումն ու հետազոտությունները: Մշտապես կազմակերպվում են անանուն հանրային միջոցառումներ, որոնց ընթացքում շարժական բուժախտորոշիչ կլինիկայում անցկացվում են անանուն, անվճար հետազոտություններ, որոնք ուղեկցվում են նախաթեստային և հետթեստային խորհրդատվությամբ:
ՄԻԱՎ-ի, սիֆիլիսի, Հեպատիտ C-ի վերաբերյալ արագ հետազոտությունն անվճար, հասանելի է Հայաստանի 83 բուժհաստատությունում։
