Երբ հայացք ես նետում պատմությանը, տեսնում ես, թե ինչպես այս կամ այն գերտերության քարոզչամիջոցները, հազարամյակներ էլ անց, որևէ ԷԱԿԱՆ փոփոխության չեն ենթարկվել։ Երբ ցանկանում են ներխուժել կոնկրետ պետության տարածք, առաջ են բերում սև և սպիտակի տրամաբանությունը։ Սևը, չարը, վատը բնականաբար հակառակորդն է, սպիտակը, բարին, պուպուշը՝ ներխուժողը։

Օրինակ, երբ Լուկոլլոսը, մ․թ․ա․ 69թ․-ին պատրաստվում էր հարձակվել Հայաստանի վրա, հռոմեական քարոզչամեքենան սկսեց աշխատել այդ տրամաբանությամբ։ Սև բևեռը դա Հայոց տերությունն էր՝ Տիգրան Մեծի գլխավորությամբ, որը, ըստ նրանց, «քաոսի և ապօրինության» մարմնացում էր, որտեղ ամեն ինչ կառուցված էր «ստի ու կեղծիքի» վրա, ժողովուրդները «ստրկացված» էին, ավելին՝ «չար» Տիգրանը պատրաստվում էր հարձակվել Հռոմի վրա։ Սպիտակը բևեռը դա Հռոմն էր, որ Արևելք էր բերում «արդարություն», «բարօրություն» և «խաղաղություն»։ Բնականաբար Պլուտարքոսը չէր գրի, որ արդյունքում, Լուկոլլոսը, ինչպիսի կողոպուտի և ավերի ենթարկեց Արևելքի «ստրկացված» ժողովուրդներին․․․ 

Ծանոթ տեսարան էր, չէ՞։ Արևմուտքի «արդարամիտ» և «խաղաղասեր» տիրակալները» «սպիտակ մարդու բեռը ուսերին» (Քիփլինգի ականջը կանչի) գնում էին ազատագրելու Արևելքի «ստրկացված» ժողովուրդներին «ապօրինի բռնապետներից», ովքեր «չարիքի մարմնացում» էին և ողջ աշխարհի համար մեծ վտանգ էին ներկայացնում (դե աշխարհ ասելով, բնականաբար՝ նկատի կունենան Արևմուտքը)։ Իսկ այդ ամենի արդյունքում, Արևելքի երկրներում այնպիսի «արդարություն», «բարօրություն» և «խաղաղություն հաստատվեց, որ Բաղդադի, Տրիպոլիի, Դամասկոսի տառապած բնակիչները այդ ամենը երբեք չեն մոռանա։
