«Հատկապես բանակի ու սպառազինության բլոկով դաշտ են նետվում թեմաներ, որոնք քաղաքական և բարոյական իրավունքն էլ չունեն և հաճախ դրանք հնչեցնում են անձինք, ովքեր զինվորական համազգեստ միայն հեռուստացույցով են տեսել:

Ենթադրաբար մեծ լարվածությամբ այս թեմաներին հետևում են պաշտպանության նախարարն ու Գլխավոր շտաբի պետը, ովքեր հերթական անգամ լսելով գործող իշխանական դեմքերի` 2018-ից առաջ գործածված «80-ականների զենքերի» թեման, վստահաբար հիշում են, որ այսօր բանակում 50-60-ականների զինատեսակներ են կիրառվում:
Անշուշտ կան 70-80-ականների զինատեսակներ, հատկապես հրետանային միջոցների մասին է խոսքը, որն այսօրվա ԳՇ-ն, հնարավորության դեպքում միանշանակ ցանկություն կհայտներ գնելու, ավելին` դրանք խիստ անհրաժեշտություն են նաև այսօրվա բանակի համար:
Սերժ Սարգսյանի` 80-ականների զենքերով կռիվ անելու և հաղթելու հայտարարությանը շատերն են այս 7 տարիների ընթացքում արձագանքել/մեկնաբանել, բայց շատ քչերն են խորությամբ հասկացել, թե ինչի դա ասվեց ու ինչ իրական ուղերձներ էր այն պարունակում»:
