FT: крупнейшие банки мира сократили в 2023 году более 60 тыс. рабочих мест

Ведущие мировые финансовые институты сократили в 2023 году около 62 тыс. рабочих мест в отсутствие стабильности, в условиях падения числа сделок и регистраций на фондовых биржах. Об этом сообщила газета Financial Times (FT).

В уходящем году, как отмечает издание, произошло одно из крупнейших сокращений рабочих мест со времени финансового кризиса 15-летней давности. По данным FT, «20 ведущих банков сокращают как минимум 61 905 рабочих мест». Во время мирового финансового кризиса 2007-2008 годов эти организации сократили более 140 тыс. рабочих мест, говорится в публикации.

Как указывает газета, половина таких сокращений пришлась на инвестиционно-банковские организации Уолл-стрит, не успевавшие за скоростью повышения процентных ставок в США и Европе. В предыдущие годы, например в 2015-м и 2019-м, крупные сокращения рабочих мест в банках были вызваны масштабными понижениями ставок европейских кредиторов.
