Հրայր Թամրազյան․ - Թեև Ադրբեջանը փորձում է ավելի քիչ խոսել «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջանի» և «Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի» մասին, նա դեռևս պահպանում իր հավակնությունը միջանցքի նկատմամբ, որը Հայաստանի տարածքով Ադրբեջանին կկապի Նախիջևանի հետ: Բաքուն դեռ հույս ունի ամբողջական վերահսկողություն սահմանել այդ ճանապարհի վրա կամ որ առնվազն ռուսական ԱԴԾ-ն կվերահսկի այդ ճանապարհը: Ադրբեջանի համար Ռուսաստանը նույնպես կարող է հարմար գործընկեր լինել Սյունիքում, որի հետ այն նույնպես կարող է գործարք կնքել, ինչպես դա եղավ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում։ Ի՞նչ եք կարծում, Ադրբեջանը դեռ ի վիճակի է և ցանկանում է Հայաստանի տարածքով ճանապարհ բացել Նախիջևանի հետ կապ հաստատելու համար, թե՞ նա հրաժարվել է ռազմական տարբերակից։ Որոշ փորձագետներ, քաղաքական գործիչներ ինչպես Հայաստանում, այնպես էլ դրսում կարծում են, որ ռազմական ճանապարհով հարցը լուծելու գայթակղությունը Ադրբեջանի մոտ դեռ պահպանվում է։ Ի՞նչ եք կարծում։

Թոմ դե Վաալ․ - Կարծում եմ՝ ամեն ինչ դեռ հնարավոր է։ Ադրբեջանը դեռ ուժեղ է։ Հայաստանը դեռ թույլ է։ Այսպիսով, ամեն ինչ հնարավոր է: Սկսենք նրանից, որ այս անորոշ աշխարհում մենք պետք է պատրաստ լինենք կանխատեսել անկանխատեսելին: Միաժամանակ, կարծում եմ, որ Ադրբեջանի համար շատ ռիսկային է բռնի ուժով վերցնել Մեղրին կամ Սյունիքը։ Սա Հայաստանի միջազգայնորեն ճանաչված ինքնիշխան տարածքն է։ Եթե ուժով եք վերցնում այն, ուրեմն ձեզ այնպես եք պահում, ինչպես Ռուսաստանը Ուկրաինայում։ Նաև, եթե ուզում եք երկաթգիծ կառուցել և ուզում եք միջազգային աջակցություն այդ երկաթուղու համար, ապա չպետք է տարածք բռնակցեք։

Դուք չեք կարող ստիպել Համաշխարհային բանկին և այլ մարդկանց համագործակցել ձեզ հետ՝ երկաթուղու կառուցման գործում: Իմ ենթադրությունն այն է, որ սա հարկադրանքի ռազմավարություն է, երբ Հայաստանի նկատմամբ հարկադրական մարտավարություն ես օգտագործում՝ փորձելով ստիպել նրան ընդունել այս երկաթուղին ադրբեջանական պայմաններով: Եվ, իհարկե, օգտագործում ես ռուսական քարտը, քանի որ այստեղ համընկնում կա Ռուսաստանի շահերի հետ։ Մենք հիշում ենք 2020 թվականի նոյեմբերի համաձայնագիրը, որն, ըստ էության, չգործող է, բայց դրա մի տարրը, ինչպես Դուք նշեցիք, այն է, որ Ռուսաստանի ԱԴԾ-ն պետք է պահպանի այդ երթուղին: Ես երկու անգամ զրուցել եմ ադրբեջանցի պաշտոնյաների հետ և նրանց հարցրել. - «Ինչո՞ւ եք սատարում դրան»: Եվ նրանք ասացին, որ դա ամենալավ տարբերակն է։ Այսպիսով, Ռուսաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը հստակ պայմանավորվել են այդ հարցում։
