Որքան Հայաստանի գործող վարչախումբն իրեն անողնաշար կենդանու պես է պահում արտաքին հարաբերություններում՝ հատկապես Ադրբեջանի հետ շփումներում, այնքան Իլհամ Ալիևի ախորժակը շարունակում է աճել։

Նախօրեին ադրբեջանական մի քանի հեռուստաընկերություններին տված հարցազրույցում Ալիևը նախ պահանջել է Զանգեզուրի միջանցքը, ապա և պնդել, որ հրաժարվում է զորքերի հայելային հետքաշման առաջարկներից, ավելին, ըստ Ալիևի՝ սահմանի այդ հատվածն ամենևին սահմանագծված չէ և որևէ մեկը չի կարող ասել՝ Հայաստանի, թե Ադրբեջանի տարածքն է, ընդհակառակն Ալիևը շարունակել է տասնամյակների կեղծ պատմագիտական նարատիվներն ըստ որոնց Երևանը և Ջերմուկն ադրբեջանական քաղաքներ են։

Վստահաբար Ադրբեջանի նախագահի այս հայտարարություններն առաջին հերթին ուղղված են ոչ թե Հայաստանին, այլ ավելի շուտ արտաքին խաղացողներին։ Բարձրացնելով խաղադրույքները՝ Իլհամ Ալիևը փորձում է հնարավորինս ավելի շատ պոկել։ Ի տարբերություն ռեսուրսներով աղքատ Հայաստանի՝ Ադրբեջանն այսօր թե՛ Արևմուտքին և թե՛ Ռուսաստանին տալու բան ունի, և, օգտվելով աշխարհաքաղաքական իրավիճակից, փորձում է առավելագույն գնով վաճառել իր իսկ ունեցածը։

Մեծ հաշվով, Իլհամ Ալիևը նույնիսկ չի բացառում պատերազմ վերսկսելու հնարավորությունը։ Հասկանալով, որ հատկապես 2024 թվականին, երբ Ռուսաստանում, Եվրամիությունում և Միացյալ Նահանգներում քաղաքական միավորների գլուխը խառն է լինելու ընտրական գործընթացներով, ինքը՝ Ալիևը, ևս արտահերթ նախագահական ընտրություններ է նախաձեռնել փետրվարի 7-ին, ավելի վաղ, քան ԱՄՆ, Եվրախորհրդարանի կամ ՌԴ նախագահի ընտրությունները, ուստի փորձելու է Ադրբեջանում վստահության նոր քվե ստանալուց հետո անցնել չափազանց արմատական և կոշտ մեթոդների։
