Было немало случаев, когда в Армении возникали проблемы с доступом в Интернет из-за сбоев на участках интернет-канала за пределами страны.

Соответственно, вопрос альтернативных каналов всегда актуален. И вот, оказывается, что Team Telecom Armenia, ставшая транзитной страной интернет-экспорта для 5 стран Ближнего Востока, запустила третий международный интернет-канал стратегического значения для Армении, который позволит диверсифицировать входящую в страну инфраструктуру, увеличив уровень безопасности Интернета. Новый интернет-канал пропускной способностью более 1 Тбит/с соединит Армению с крупнейшим центром обмена данными в Европе –Франкфуртом, через Грузию и Россию, став альтернативой уже действующему интернет-каналу Грузия-София, проходящему через дно Черного моря.

«За последние два года мы существенно улучшили магистральные инфраструктуры в Армении, сведя количество аварий до минимума, однако за пределами страны они по-прежнему остаются неконтролируемыми. Эксплуатируя новые каналы, мы предотвращаем проблему доступа в Интернет в случае международных аварий, и имеем еще один запасной путь, повышая уровень информационной безопасности и надежности Интернета», - говорит Айк Есаян, генеральный директор Team Telecom Armenia.
