2024 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը ստանձնել է ԵԱՏՄ մարմինների նախագահությունը. Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն այս կապակցությամբ ուղերձ է ԵԱՏՄ անդամ երկրների ղեկավարներին:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ միայն ջանքերի համատեղմամբ ԵԱՏՄ անդամ երկրները կկարողանան ապագա սերունդների համար ստեղծել տնտեսական համագործակցության էլ ավելի կայուն մոդել, որը կապված չի լինի քաղաքական կամ աշխարհաքաղաքական տեղաշարժերի հետ։
«Համաշխարհային տնտեսության ներկայիս անկայունությունը պահանջում է տնտեսական փոխգործակցության սկզբունքների և գործիքների վերանայում։ Այս պայմաններում մենք պետք է բոլոր ջանքերը գործադրենք ԵԱՏՄ-ի լիարժեք գործունեությունը ապահովելու համար՝ ելնելով մեր երկրների քաղաքացիների և բիզնեսի շահերից։
Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությունում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախագահության տարում, մասնավորապես, ուզում եմ ուշադրություն հրավիրել ԵԱՏՄ-ի համար մի շարք կարևոր խնդիրների լուծման անհրաժեշտության վրա», - նշել է Փաշինյանը՝ առանձնացնելով էներգետիկ անվտանգության ապահովումը՝ Էլեկտրաէներգիայի և էներգետիկ ռեսուրսների ընդհանուր շուկաների արագացված ձևավորում՝ ոչ խտրական գործառնական սկզբունքներով, ԵԱՏՄ պարենային անվտանգության ապահովումը, տրանսպորտային ենթակառուցվածքների զարգացումն ու արդիականացումը, մաքսային ընթացակարգերի բարելավումը և արդյունավետ լոգիստիկ շղթաների ստեղծումը:
«Անհրաժեշտ է առավելագույնս օգտագործել տարանցիկ ներուժը և ԵԱՏՄ աշխարհագրական դիրքի հնարավորությունները դուրս գալու արտաքին շուկաներ, որոնք այս փուլում դեռ բավարար չափով չեն օգտագործվում անդամ երկրների կողմից։ Անհրաժեշտ է լրացուցիչ ջանքեր գործադրել եվրասիական տրանսպորտային ենթակառուցվածքի զարգացման և երրորդ երկրներ ապրանքների արտահանման ուղղությամբ՝ առավելագույնի հասցնելով միջազգային կազմակերպությունների և միջազգային զարգացման ինստիտուտների հետ հարաբերությունների ներուժը։
Այս համատեքստում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության կողմից առաջարկվող «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» խոստումնալից նախագծի հաջող իրականացումն էական դեր կխաղա եվրասիական միջազգային տրանսպորտային ուղիներով տարանցիկ երթևեկության ապահովման նախանշված նպատակներին հասնելու գործում: «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկը» կարող է մեր տարածաշրջանի երկրները կապել ճանապարհներով, երկաթգծերով, մալուխներով, գազատարներով և էլեկտրահաղորդման գծերով», - ասված է Փաշինյանի ուղերձում։
