Էրիկ Առստամյանը Արցախի արտակարգ իրավիճակների պետական ծառայության ճգնաժամային կառավարման կենտրոնի աշխատակից էր։ Կինը՝ Լուսինեն MediaHub-ի հետ զրույցում պատմում է, որ ամուսինն ամբողջ 44-օրյա մարտերի ժամանակ եղել է ծառայության վայրում, իսկ այդ օրերին 911 ահազանգման կենտրոնը Ստեփանակերտում փրկության ու օգնության միակ հեռախոսահամարն էր։ Էրիկն իր համածառայակից ընկերների հետ արել են առավելագույնը, պատվով հաղթահարել բոլոր դժվարությունները։ Նույն իրավիճակն էր նաև 2023 թվականին։
«Նախքան պատերազմը դեռ օրեր առաջ Էրիկն անհանգիստ էր, հաճախ էր ասում՝ «պատերազմի հոտ է գալիս, զգում եմ օդային տագնապի ազդանշանի կոճակը ես եմ սեղմելու»։ Սեպտեմբերի 19-ին իր հերթափոխի օրը չէր, բայց քանի որ ընկերներից մեկը փոխել էր հերթը, ինքը սովորականի պես գնացել է աշխատանքի։ Այնտեղից զանգել ու ասել է «Լուսին, լավ կանես երեխաներին դպրոցից բերես, իրավիճակը Հարավում լարված է», ես էլ ասացի դպրոցում նկուղ կա, եթե հանկարծ բան լինի, երեխաներին կիջեցնեն նկուղ։ Չնայած զանգել եմ դպրոց, այնտեղից մեզ հանգստացրել են»,- հիշում է Լուսինեն։
Էրիկն ու Լուսինեն 4 տղաների ծնողներ են, 2-ը դպրոցում են եղել, երբ սկսվել է պատերազմը։ Լուսինեն ասում է, որ դուրս է, որ երբ դուրս է եկել բակ, տեսել է իր մանկահասակ երեխաները նստել են գետնին ու վախից բարձր գոռում էին, իսկ ծառայության մեջ գտնվող ամուսինն անընդհատ կապի մեջ է եղել կնոջ հետ, հորդորել է, որ հրետակոծությունը հենց դանդաղի, երեխաներին տուն բերի։
