Այս տարի Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին Սուրբ Սարգիս զորավարի հիշատակության օրը կտոնի հունվարի 27-ին։
Սուրբ Սարգիսը հայ ժողովրդի ամենասիրված սրբերից է: Այս տոնը Հայաստանում ընդունված է նշել ոչ միայն եկեղեցական ծեսով, աղոթքով, այլև ժողովրդական սովորույթներով, որը մեզանում նվիրական ավանդություն է:
Գարեգին Երկրորդ հայրապետի տնօրինությամբ Ս․ Սարգիս զորավարի տոնը հռչակված է Երիտասարդների օրհնության օր:
Սուրբ Սարգիս զորավարը երիտասարդների արագահաս բարեխոսն է: Նրա միջնորդությամբ հրաշքներ են տեղի ունենում: Այդ օրը երիտասարդներն դիմում են սրբին, որ իրենց աղոթքները հասցնի առ Աստված:
Տոնին նախորդող գիշերը երիտասարդներն աղի բլիթ են ուտում, որի հետ կապում են իրենց փեսացուի կամ հարսնացուի երազահայտնությունը: Այդ օրվա հիշատակելի սովորություններից է փոխինդով մատուցարանը դնել տան տանիքին կամ պատշգամբին և սպասել Սուրբ Սարգիս զորավարի ձիու պայտի հետքին։
Ըստ ավանդույթի՝ Սուրբ Սարգիսը պետք է հրեշտակների ուղեկցությամբ անցնի, և ում մատուցարանի մեջ դրված ալյուրի կամ փոխինդի մեջ թողնի մաքրություն, անաղարտություն խորհրդանշող իր սպիտակ ձիու պայտի հետքը, այդ տարի կիրականանա տվյալ հավատացյալի երազանքը:

Տոնի օրը Սուրբ Սարգիս Զորավարի անունը կրող եկեղեցիներում կմատուցվի Սուրբ Պատարագ, որից հետո կկատարվի երիտասարդների օրհնության կարգ։
