Դավիթ Մանուկյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է․

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը օրերս հայտարարեց Սահմանադրությունը փոխելու իր մտադրության մասին, ընդորում՝ ամբողջությամբ։ Իսկ ի՞նչ նպատակ է իրականում դա հետապնդում։
 
Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Սահմանադրությունը հիմնված է Հայաստանի Անկախության մասին հռչակագրում ամրագրված սկզբունքների և նպատակների վրա։ Անկախության մասին հռչակագիրը Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հիմնադիր փաստաթուղթն է և Հայաստանի Սահմանադրության հետ միասին նրա հիմնարար երկու փաստաթղթերից մեկը։
 
Անկախության մասին հռչակագրում ասվում է. «…Հայկական ԽՍՀ Գերագույն խորհուրդը …հիմնվելով 1989 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 1-ի «Հայկական ԽՍՀ-ի և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի վերամիավորման մասին» Հայկական ԽՍՀ Գերագույն խորհրդի և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Ազգային խորհրդի համատեղ որոշման վրա …հռչակում է անկախ պետականության հաստատման գործընթացի սկիզբը»։ Իսկ 11-րդ կետում նշվում է. Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը սատար է կանգնում 1915 թվականին Օսմանյան Թուրքիայում և Արևմտյան Հայաստանում Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման գործին։
 
Իշխանությունները ցանկանում են փոխել Սահմանադրությունը, որպեսզի վերջնականպես փակեն Արցախի հարցը և հրաժարվեն Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման գործընթացից։ Սա հակապետական քայլ է, որը թելադրվում է Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի կողմից ու փորձ է արվում կյանքի կոչել գործող իշխանությունների ձեռամբ։
 
Անկախ նրանից, թե վաղը ինչպիսի փաթեթավորմամբ այն կներկայացվի հանրությանը, դրա բուն նպատակը դա է։
 
Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ստեղծման օրվանից անկախության հռչակագիրը քայլ առ քայլ կյանքի է կոչվել։ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը կարճ ժամանակում կարողացավ դառնալ կայացած ու զարգացող պետություն, և, որ ամենակարևորը՝ Հայաստանը լուրջ խաղացող էր տարածաշրջանում, ում հետ հաշվի էին նստում։ Մենք ունեինք դե ֆակտո անկախ Արցախ, որը Հայաատանի հետ էլ ավելի ազդեցիկ էր դարձնում հայկական գործոնի դերը տարածաշրջանում։ Տասնյակ երկրներ և բազմաթիվ միջազգային հեղինակավոր կազմակերպություններ իրար ետևից ճանաչում էին Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը։
 
Եվ հիմա, հրաժարվել սեփական ինքնությունից և տարվել կեղծ, շինծու և անբովանդակ թեզերով, մենք ունենալու ենք դեգրադացված հասարակություն՝ առանց հիշողության, որը գնալով մարելու է։ Սա է մեր թշնամիների վերջնական նպատակը։
