ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենն առաջարկում է Հունաստանին զենք փոխանցել կամ վաճառել Ուկրաինային, իսկ դրա դիմաց ԱՄՆ-ը կդիտարկի Աթենքին մինչև 200 միլիոն դոլարի լրացուցիչ օգնություն տրամադրելու հնարավորությունը։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Հունաստանի վարչապետ Կիրիակոս Միցոտակիսիի մամուլի ծառայությունը:
Բլինքենը տեղեկացրել է Միցոտակիսին, որ Պետդեպարտամենտը որոշել է հաստատել F-35 ինքնաթիռների և զենքի հնարավոր վաճառքը Հունաստանի կառավարությանը մոտ 8,6 միլիարդ դոլարով։
«Մենք շարունակում ենք շահագրգռված լինել պաշտպանական կարողություններով, որոնք Հունաստանը կարող է փոխանցել կամ վաճառել Ուկրաինային: Եթե այդ հնարավորությունները հետաքրքրում են Ուկրաինային և սպասում են ԱՄՆ կառավարության գնահատմանը դրանց կարգավիճակի վերաբերյալ, մենք կարող ենք ուսումնասիրել լրացուցիչ արտաքին ռազմական ֆինանսավորման միջոցների ներգրավման հնարավորությունը՝ Հունաստանի համար մինչև 200 մլն դոլար»,- ասվում է նամակում։
Ռուսաստանի արտգործնախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը նշել է, որ ցանկացած բեռ, որը զենք է պարունակում Ուկրաինայի համար, օրինական թիրախ կդառնա Ռուսաստանի համար։ ՌԴ ԱԳՆ-ն հայտարարել է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի երկրները «կրակի հետ են խաղում»՝ զենք մատակարարելով Ուկրաինային։ Կրեմլը հայտարարել է, որ Ուկրաինայի Արևմուտքից զենք ստանալը չի նպաստում ռուս-ուկրաինական բանակցությունների հաջողությանը և բացասական ազդեցություն կունենա։ Լավրովը նաև հայտարարել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն և ՆԱՏՕ-ն ուղղակիորեն ներգրավված են Ուկրաինայի հակամարտության մեջ, այդ թվում՝ ոչ միայն զենք մատակարարելով, այլև Մեծ Բրիտանիայում, Գերմանիայում, Իտալիայում և այլ երկրներում կադրեր պատրաստելով։
