Հունվարի 17-ը կամ տարվա 17-րդ օրը համաշխարհային և հայոց պատմության առումով առանձնանում է իրադարձությունների, ծնունդների ու մահերի առումով, ինչի մասին տեղեկանում ենք էլեկտրոնային ազատ հանրագիտարանից:
Հունվարի 17-ին
- 1930՝ Երևանում բացվեց գրողների տունը
- 1991՝ Պարսից ծոցի պատերազմի ժամանակ սկսվեց «Անապատի փոթորիկ» մարտական գործողությունը։
- 1995՝ ճապոնական Կոբե քաղաքում պատահած հզոր երկրաշարժի զոհ դարձավ ավելի քան 6434 մարդ
- 2002՝ Կոնգոյի Դեմոկրատական Հանրապետությունում ժայթքեց Նյիրագոնգո հրաբուխը, զոհվեց 147 մարդ։

- 1706՝ Բենջամին Ֆրանկլին, ամերիկացի գիտնական, քաղաքական գործիչ (մ. 1790)
- 1820 - Էնն Բրոնտե, անգլիացի գրող և պոետ, Բրոնտե քույրերից կրտսերը
- 1863՝Կոնստանտին Ստանիսլավսկի, ռուս դերասան, ռեժիսոր, թատրոնի ռեֆորմիստ (մ. 1938)
- 1894՝ Տիգրան Հախումյան, հայ բանաստեղծ, գրականագետ, թարգմանիչ (վ. 1973)
- 1921 - Սեպուհ Թումյան,հայ բժիշկ, վնասվածքաբան-օրթոպեդ։
- 1924 - Ռաֆայել Նանուշյան, հայ գծանկարիչ
- 1933՝ Դալիդա (իսկական անունը՝ Իոլանդա Քրիստինա Ջիլյոտի), երգչուհի
- 1942՝ Մուհամեդ Ալի, ամերիկացի աշխարհահռչակ բռնցքամարտիկ, մարդասեր և հասարակական գործիչ։
- 1961՝ Մայա Չիբուրդանիձե, վրացի նշանավոր շախմատիստուհի։
- 1962՝ Ջիմ Քերրի, կանադացի հանրահայտ կատակերգակ դերասան։
- 1964՝ Միշել Օբամա, ԱՄՆ առաջին տիկին
- 1983 - Ալվարո Արբելոա,իսպանացի ֆուտբոլիստ, պաշտպան
