3dnews.ru-ն գրում է, որ Հարավային Կորեայի մի խումբ գիտնականներ ստեղծել են առաձգական ֆոտոգալվանային բջիջներ, որոնք կարող են բառացիորեն ձգել երկրագնդի պարագծով: Իսկ եթե ավելի լուրջ, ապա այդ մշակումը կիրառություն կգտնի կրելի էլեկտրոնիկայի և ռոբոտաշինության մեջ, քանի որ այն կարող է ձգվել իր սկզբնական չափի մինչև 40%-ով և միևնույն ժամանակ ունի 19% տպավորիչ արդյունավետություն առաձգական արևային վահանակների համար:

Էլաստիկ արևային մարտկոցը ստեղծվել է Կորեայի առաջադեմ տեխնոլոգիական ինստիտուտի Քիմիական և կենսամոլեկուլային ճարտարագիտության բաժնում պրոֆեսոր Բումջուն Քիմի ղեկավարությամբ: Հետազոտությունը հրապարակվել է Joule ամսագրի դեկտեմբերյան համարներից մեկում։

Պրոֆեսոր Քիմն ասել է. «Այս հետազոտության միջոցով մենք ոչ միայն մշակել ենք աշխարհի ամենաարդյունավետ ձգվող օրգանական արևային բջիջը, այլ նաև կարևոր է այն, որ մենք մշակել ենք նոր պոլիմեր, որը կարող է կիրառվել որպես հիմնական նյութ տարբեր էլեկտրոնային սարքերի համար, որոնք պետք է լինեն ճկուն և/կամ առաձգական»:
