Папа Римский канонизировал первую в истории Аргентины женщину-святую

Папа Римский Франциск Первый канонизировал первую в истории Аргентины женщину-святую Марию Антонию де Пас-и-Фигероа, известную как «мама Антула», сообщает АР.
Отмечается, что церемония канонизации состоялась в базилике Святого Петра. На обряде присутствовал также президент Аргентины Хавьер Милей.
Месса по объявлению мамы Антулы святой ознаменовала собой первую встречу Папы Римского, аргентинца по происхождению, с Милеем. Президент, который осенил себя крестным знамением в начале церемонии, сидел рядом с Франциском Первым прямо сбоку от главного алтаря.
Милей должен встретиться наедине с Франциском в понедельник, а затем также провести частные переговоры с премьер-министром Италии Джорджией Мелони и президентом Серджо Матареллой.
Мама Антула жила в 18-м веке. Она служила служила бедным и помогала поддерживать духовность иезуитов в Аргентине после того, как религиозный орден, к которому принадлежит Папа Римский, был подавлен.
