71-ամյա Մադաթ Բաբայանն արդեն 5 ամիս գտնվում է ադրբեջանական գերության մեջ։ 

Մադաթը ծնվել ու մեծացել է Մարտակերտի շրջանի Գետավան գյուղում։ Հիմնականում զբաղվում էր գյուղատնտեսական աշխատանքներով: 2023 թվականին, երբ ադրբեջանական զինուժը նախահարձակ գործողություն սկսեց Արցախի դեմ, Գետավանը, որ 44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո սահմանամերձ էր դարձել, առաջին հարվածներն իր վրա վերցրեց։ Մարտերն անհամեմատ թեժ էին հատկապես երեկոյան։ Տեղացիների պատմելով՝ անդադար կրակում էին, այնպես, որ նույնիսկ ապաստարանից մեկ րոպե անգամ հնարավոր չէր դուրս գալ։

«Այդ ժամանակ ես դիրքերում էի, ու դժվար էր հեռվից տեսնել Գետավանը սև վառոդի ծխի մեջ։ Գյուղը տարհանվեց։ Հայրս էլ մեր տնեցիներին գյուղից ուղարկելուց հետո մի քանի տղամարդկանց հետ մնացել է գյուղում»,- MediaHub-ին պատմում է Մադաթի որդին՝ Արմեն Բաբայանը։ 

Գետավանցի տարեց տղամարդը հրթիռակոծության ժամանակ բեկորային վիրավորում էր ստացել։
«Իրավիճակը կտրուկ փոխվելու ընթացքում գյուղից բոլորը դուրս են եկել, շատերին հաջողվել է անտառներով շրջանցել ադրբեջանական հենակետերը և փրկվել։ Հայրս տարեց մարդ է, հաստատ չէր կարող անցնել այդ ճանապարհներով։ Մնացել ու հավանաբար տանն ինձ է սպասել, չիմանալով, որ գյուղն ընկել է և որ ադրբեջանցիներն արդեն Գետավանում են»,- ասում է մեր զրուցակիցը։ 

Բաբայանների ընտանիքն օրեր շարունակ փնտրել է Մադաթին, բայց ապարդյուն։ Մինչ ընտանիքը պատրաստվում էր ընդունել ամենացավալի լուրը, ադրբեջանական ալիքներն իրար հերթ չտալով տարածեցին Մադաթի մասնակցությամբ տեսանյութ՝ Իվանյան (Խոջալու) համայնքից։ Մադաթ Բաբայանին մեղադրանք է առաջադրվել իբր «Խոջալուի ջարդերին» մասնակցություն ունենալու համար։ 

«Հայրս Խոջալուի տեղն էլ չգիտի, թե ինչո՞ւ է ադրբեջանական մեդիան նրան տեղափոխել այդ գյուղ, և ինչո՞ւ են կալանավորել Բաքվում, չգիտեմ։ Հստակ է մի բան, որ մեր ընտանիքը հերքում է նրա առնչությունը «Խոջալուի ջարդերին»»,- ասում է Մադաթի որդին։ 

Արմենի խոսքով՝ հայրը մի քանի անգամ զանգելու հնարավորություն է ունեցել։ Չի դժգոհել պահման պայմաններից, փոխարենը բառ չի խոսել դատից ու հավանական վերադարձից։
