Սեծ Պահքի երրորդ շաբաթ օրն Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական եկեղեցին տոնում է Հայ եկեղեցու նշանավոր աստվածաբան-եկեղեցականների՝ Ս. Հովհան Օձնեցի հայրապետի, Ս. Հովհան Որոտնեցի և Ս. Գրիգոր Տաթևացի վարդապետների և Երուսաղեմի Ս. Հովհան հայրապետի հիշատակության օրը, գրում է qahana.am-ը:

Ս. Հովհաննես Օձնեցին, ում մեծարել են նաև Իմաստասեր անվամբ, Հայ եկեղեցու սրբացված հայրապետներից է: Ըստ վարքագիրների՝ հոգևոր ու մտավոր կատարելությունից զատ, փայլել է նաև արտաքին վայելչությամբ: Գահակալության 11 տարիների ընթացքում (717-728 թ.թ.) Հովհաննես Օձնեցի կաթողիկոսը կարողացել է դիմակայել բյուզանդական ու արաբական ճնշումներին, պայքարել աղանդավորության դեմ: Օձնեցին թողել է հարուստ ու արժեքավոր գրական ժառանգություն:

Նրա «Կանոնագիրք Հայոց»-ը հայ իրականության մեջ իրավաբանական առաջին մեծ ժողովածուն է, որտեղ ի մի են բերված եկեղեցական կանոնները: Նա հայտնի է նաև իբրև բազմաթիվ ճառերի հեղինակ և շարականագիր: Ս. Հովհաննես կաթողիկոսի գլխավոր ձեռնարկումներից են Հայ եկեղեցու բարեկարգման համար գումարված 726 թվականի Դվինի ժողովը, ինչպես նաև նույն թվականի Մանազկերտի ժողովը` կազմակերպված Հայ և Ասորի եկեղեցիների միության ամրապնդման նպատակով:

Ս. Հովհաննես Օձնեցի Հայրապետի շիրիմը գտնվում է իր հայրենի Օձուն գյուղի մոտ` Արդվի գյուղի Սրբանես (Ս. Հովհաննես) եկեղեցու բակում, որ դարձել է նվիրական ուխտատեղի հավատացյալ հայության համար:Միմյանց հետ կապված են Ս. Հովհաննես Որոտնեցի (1315-1388) և Ս. Գրիգոր Տաթևացի (1346-1410) վարդապետների անունները: Ս. Գրիգոր Տաթևացին` Հայ եկեղեցու «Եռամեծ» վարդապետն ու խոշորագույն աստվածաբանը, ուսանելով Ս. Հովհաննես Որոտնեցու մոտ, հետագայում իր բարձրակետին հասցրեց ուսուցչի կողմից հիմնած Տաթևի նշանավոր դպրոցը:

Տաթևացին հեղինակ է աստվածաբանական մեծարժեք աշխատությունների ու քարոզների, որոնց շարքում առանձնացվում են «Գիրք Հարցմանց»-ը և քարոզգրքերը: Տաթևացու գրառումների շնորհիվ մեզ է հասել նաև Որոտնեցու գրական ժառանգության մի մասը:

Հայ եկեղեցու երեք սրբերի հետ մեկտեղ նույն օրը նշվում է նաև 4-րդ դարի Երուսաղեմի Ս. Հովհան Հայրապետի հիշատակության օրը: Ս. Հովհան Երուսաղեմացին որպես Երուսաղեմի հայրապետ 386 թ. հաջորդել է Ս. Կյուրեղ Երուսաղեմացուն:

Հայտնի էր ընդարձակ գիտելիքներով և առաքինի վարքով, բարեհոգի և հանդուրժող բնավորությամբ, որի շնորհիվ դեռևս իր կյանքի օրոք նրան կոչում էին «սուրբ և սքանչելի հայրապետ»: Ոմանք էլ կասկածում էին, որ հարում է հերձվածողներին. քանզի սուրբ հայրապետը չէր շտապում հարաբերությունները խզել նրանց հետ, ովքեր վերջնականապես չէին շեղվել ուղղափառությունից:

Նա մեծ համբերությամբ էր տանում իրեն ուղղված բոլոր զրպարտանքները՝ սիրով ու անվեհեր հանդարտությամբ պարզաբանելով իր դիրքորոշումը: Այնուհանդերձ, շատ ջանքեր պահանջվեցին, որպեսզի Ս. Հովհանին մեղադրողներն ի վերջո ընդունեն նրա դավանական համոզմունքների անաղարտությունը:

Մինչև կյանքի վերջը սուրբ հայրապետն իր հոտը պահպանեց ամեն տեսակ հերձվածողական մոլորություններից, իսկ վախճանից առաջ ժողովներ գումարելով՝ վճռական դեր խաղաց դատապարտելու համար Պեղագիոսի ուսմունքը, որը պնդում էր, թե փրկության համար բավական են մարդկային ջանքերը առանց աստվածային շնորհի:

Ս. Հովհանը խաղաղությամբ ննջեց 417 թ. հունվարին՝ թողնելով բարի հիշատակ և դասվելով սուրբ հայրապետների շարքում:
