Հանրապետության նախագահ Վահագն Խաչատուրյանն ընդունել է Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Կոնստանտինոս Կոմբոսի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Ողջունելով հյուրերին նախագահը նշել է. «Ողջունում եմ Ձեր այցը Հայաստան: Նման այցելություններն ընդգծում են այն կարևորությունը, որ մենք տալիս ենք միմյանց հետ հարաբերություններին:

Մեր բարեկամական հարաբերություններն այնպիսի պատմություն ունեն, որ պարտավորեցնում են ավելի ամրապնդել և զարգացել դրանք: Միևնույն ժամանակ, կարող եմ նշել, որ մենք հաջողությամբ շարունակում ենք խորացնել այդ համագործակցությունը բոլոր մակարդակներում՝ սկսած մարդկային շփումներից, վերջացրած քաղաքական հարթակներով:

Ցանկանում եմ նաև շնորհակալություն հայտնել Կիպրոսի կառավարությանը, իշխանությանը և ժողովրդին այն աջակցության համար, որ դուք ցուցաբերեցիք և ցուցաբերում եք Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի մեր հայրենակիցներին»:

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ընդունելության համար նախարարն ասել է. «Մենք ունենք երկարամյա ավանդական հարաբերություններ, ինչպես նաև շատ ջերմ կապ կա հաստատված մեր ժողովուրդների միջև և ապագայում էլ մենք պատրաստ ենք դրանք ավելի զարգացնել ու ընդլայնել մեր համագործակցությունը բոլոր ուղղություններով»:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են երկկողմ հարաբերությունները քաղաքական տնտեսական և այլ բնագավառներում շարունակաբար ընդլայնելու և զարգացնելու ուղիների վերաբերյալ հարցեր:

Երկուստեք կարևորվել է երկու երկրների սերտ համագործակցությունն ինչպես Եվրամիության և այլ միջազգային հարթակներում, այնպես էլ երկկողմ օրակարգային թեմաների շուրջ:

Զրույցի ընթացքում կողմերն անդրադարձել են փոխադարձաբար դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչություններ ունենալու հարցին և ընդգծել հնարավորինս սեղմ ժամկետում խնդրի լուծմանը հասնելու պատրաստակամությունը:

Կարևորվել է Հայաստան-Կիպրոս կանոնավոր ուղիղ թռիչքների առկայությունն, ինչն էապես նպաստում է երկու երկրների միջև տնտեսության, գործարարության և տուրիզմի ու ընդհանրապես, բազմաշերտ համագործակցության զարգացմանը:

Մտքեր են փոխանակվել էներգետիկայի, բարձր տեխնոլոգիաների և այլ ոլորտներում երկու երկներում առկա ներուժի ամբողջական իրականացման շուրջ ջանքերի միավորման և տարբեր՝ երկկողմ և բազմակողմ համատեղ ծրագրերի կյանքի կոչման հեռանկարների վերաբերյալ:
