«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը երեկ հերթական հուժկու «ապտակը» հասցրեց Ռուսաստանին։ Կառավարության նիստում որոշում ընդունվեց, որ Հայաստանում Ազգային անվտանգության մարմինների աշխատողի օրը դեկտեմբերի 20-ի փոխարեն կնշվի հունվարի 8-ին։ Այս հարցը, ի դեպ, չզեկուցվող նախագծերի շարքում էր։
Հիմնավորման մեջ նշվում է, որ 2024 թվականի հունվարի 8-ին հանրապետության նախագահի կողմից ստորագրվել է «Ազգային անվտանգության մարմիններում ծառայության մասին» օրենքում փոփոխություններ կատարելու մասին եւ կից օրենքների փաթեթը, որով համակարգային փոփոխություններ են նախատեսվել ԱԱԾ ղեկավար կազմի նշանակման եւ ծառայության կազմակերպման կարգի մասով, ինչով էլ իբր պայմանավորված է այս փոփոխությունը։ Իրականում, սակայն, սա քաղաքական որոշում է։
Բանն այն է, որ դեկտեմբերի 20-ը դեռեւս խորհրդային տարիներին նշվել է որպես Չեկիստի օր։ Խորհրդային Միության փլուզումից հետո հետխորհրդային հանրապետություններից շատերում դեկտեմբերի 20-ը շարունակում են նշել որպես ԱԱԾ աշխատողի օր։ Փաշինյանի՝ իշխանության գալուց հետո սորոսական հատվածն ամեն տարի դեկտեմբերին 20-ին քննադատում էր Փաշինյանին՝ այդ օրվանից չհրաժարվելու համար։ Բայց անցած տարի էլ Ազգային անվտանգության ծառայությունում տոնի կապակցությամբ հրավիրվել էր հանդիսավոր նիստ, որին ներկա էր նաեւ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը։
Երեկվա որոշումը եւս ցույց է տալիս, որ Հայաստանը միտումնավոր փորձում է սրել հարաբերությունները Ռուսաստանի հետ անգամ մանրուք թվացող հարցերում, որպեսզի հավատարմություն հայտնի Արեւմուտքին եւ ցուցադրի, թե հերթական քայլն է անում Ռուսաստանից հեռանալու ուղղությամբ»:
