Մարտի 17-ին Երևանում տեղի է ունեցել «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման համագումարը, որի ժամանակ իր ելույթով հանդես է եկել շարժման ղեկավար Արման Վարդանյանը․

«Սիրելի′ հայրենակիցներ, ես շատ ուրախ եմ և հպարտ այսօր այստեղ տեսնելու մարդկանց՝ ովքեր բազմաթիվ անգամ իրենց արյունով, իրենց սկզբունքայնությամբ և իրենց մոտեցումներով ապացուցել են, որ ոչ թե բառերով են սիրում մեր երկիրը, այլ՝ գործերով։

Այստեղ ներկա են մարդիկ, ովքեր իրենց կյանքում խոսում են շատ քիչ, որովհետև ժամանակ չունեն, որովհետև աշխատում են ու գործում են, այստեղ ներկա են մարդիկ, ովքեր հենց առաջին վտանգի ժամանակ թողել են իրենց երեխաներին, իրենց տունը և մեկնել են առաջնագիծ, մարդիկ, ովքեր խրախուսվել և ստացել են տարբեր բարձրագույն շքանշաններ՝ մարտական խաչից մինչև արիություն, և ես հպարտ եմ, որ նման որակյալ, հայրենասեր մարդիկ են համախմբվել «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման շուրջ։

Ի՞նչ ունենք  մենք այսօր․ ամեն րոպե սպասվող պատերազմ, կորցրած Արցախ, վտանգված Սյունիք, Ջերմուկ, Վարդենիս, և յուրաքանչյուր ժողովրդավար և քաղաքակիրթ երկրում այս իրավիճակը կհանգեցներ նրան, որ կլիներ մեծ միասնություն, սակայն, մենք այսօր տեսնում ենք, որ որևիցե միասնության մասին չեն մտածում ո′չ իշխանությունը, ո′չ ընդդիմությունը,  այլ զբաղված են իրար վրա ցեխ շպրտելով, իրար վատաբանելով, քրեական գործեր հարուցելով։

Մենք դա չենք հանդուրժելու և այսօր մեր հավաքվելը այստեղ հենց դրա վառ ապացույցն է, և մեր հանրապետության պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ ստեղծվում է միավորում, որը որևիցե ձևով նման չէ այլ միավորումների, որովհետև մինչ այսօր բոլոր միավորումները, դաշինքները ստեղծվել են  որպեսզի քաղաքացուց կորզեն իր ձայնը․ նախընտրական միավորումների մասին է խոսքը. հավաքվում են, ստեղծում են դաշինք և համոզում են, որ իրենց ձայն տան, հետո գալիս են իշխանության, հանգիստ «քցում են» իրենց ձայն տվողներին, և զբաղվում են միայն իրենց նեղ շրջանակի, իրենց թիմերի, ընտանիքների բարգավաճման գործով։

Սա առաջին միավորումն է, որը գաղափարական է, և այս միավորումն է, որ պետք է շրջադարձային լինի մեր երկրի համար, որովհետև մենք հավաքվել ենք ոչ թե իշխանության համար, այլ մենք հավաքվել ենք, որպեսզի փոխենք այս բացասական և կատաստրոֆիկ ընթացքը, որը ունի այսօր մեր պետությունը, և որի արդյունքն է երկար տարիների ապաշնորհ քաղաքականությունը՝ թե′ ներքին, թե′ արտաքին։

Եկել է ժամանակը փոխելու այդ մոտեցումները և քննադատությունից անցնել գործի, որովհետև այսօր երկրի մեծ մասը զբաղված է ընդամենը քննադատությամբ․ ինչքա՞ն կարելի է քննադատել մի բան, որը չի ուղղվում, չի կարելի քննադատել բարոյական օրենքներից զուրկ մարդկանց․ իրենք, մեկ է, նույնն են մնալու»։
