Մարտի 22-ի երեկոյան մի խումբ զինված անձինք ավտոմատներից կրակ են բացել Մոսկվայի «Կրոկուս Սիթի Հոլլում», որից հետո պայթյուն է տեղի ունեցել, և հրդեհ է բռնկվել։ Հաղորդվում է առնվազն 137 մահվան մասին։ ՌԴ ԱԴԾ-ն հայտարարել է, որ մարդկանց վրա կրակ բացած ահաբեկիչները ձերբակալվել են Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության Բրյանսկի շրջանում՝ Ուկրաինայի հետ սահմանից ոչ հեռու։
Ուկրաինական հետախուզությունը հայտարարել է, որ Ռուսաստանի տարածած վարկածն այն մասին, որ Մոսկվայի մարզում տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչության հեղինակները փախչում էին Ուկրաինա, չի համապատասխանում իրականությանը։
