SciRep: с 1980 года слова в песнях упростились, но сделались более гневными

Немецкие ученые из Нюрнбергского музыкального университета проанализировали более 12 тыс. текстов англоязычных песен, вышедших с 1980 по 2020 год. Они отметили, что за минувшие четыре десятилетия литературная составляющая в музыкальных произведениях стала значительно проще и несколько однообразнее из-за большого количества повторов. Исследование опубликовано в научном журнале Scientific Reports (SciRep).

Работа специалистов охватила композиции в жанрах рэп, поп, кантри, ритм-н-блюз (RnB) и рок, на каждый из которых пришлось по 2,4 тыс. треков.

Как показал анализ, в целом тексты песен стали легче восприниматься. Исследование выявило другую тенденцию: текстовое содержание музыкальных произведений со временем сделалось более личным и эмоционально окрашенным.

Например, авторы в жанрах рэп и хип-хоп стали чаще использовать как эмоционально позитивные, так и негативные слова и сочетания. В то же время в поп-музыке, кантри и RnB выросло количество негативных текстов. Кроме того, во всех жанрах заметно увеличилось количество слов, связанных с гневом.

Ученые также обнаружили, что поклонники рок-музыки отдают большее предпочтения старым композициям в любимом жанре, тогда как любители кантри активнее интересуются новым исполнителями в этом направлении.
