270 միլիոն եվրո Եվրամիությունից, 65 միլիոն դոլար՝ ԱՄՆ-ից, այն էլ ընդամենը 4 տարում։ Ահա սա էր «պատմական» հռչակված բրյուսելյան հանդիպման գլխավոր արդյունքը։
Շաբաթներ շարունակ գործող իշխանությունները փորձում էին այս հանդիպումը ներկայացնել որպես պատմական և ճակատագրական, որը կարող է փոխել երկրի հետագա ընթացքը, ինչպես նաև լուրջ տնտեսական հնարավորություններ բերել Հայաստանին, ընդհուպ դիվերսիֆիկացնել Հայաստանի տնտեսությունը։
Հանդիպումից առաջ կայացած ասուլիսում թե՛ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը և թե՛ Եվրամիության ու ԱՄՆ բարձրաստիճան ներկայացուցիչները ճոռոմ բառերի շարք են արտաբերել՝ իբր չափազանց մեծ գործ են կատարում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության տնտեսության դիվերսիֆիկացիայի և դիմակայունության համար, մինչդեռ իրականում թե՛ այս որոշումներում և թե՛ ընդունված համատեղ հայտարարությունը, խորքային առումով վկայում է՝ Եվրամիությանը և ԱՄՆ-ին Հայաստանը պետք է ընդամենը Ռուսաստանից մեր երկիրը պոկելու համար։
Փաշինյանն իհարկե կարող էր ազնվություն ունենալ և հենց տեղում հայտարարել իր հիասթափության, ինչպես նաև՝ արևմտյան «գործընկերների» կողմից իրեն պարզապես խաբելու մասին, բայց փոխարենը հայտարարել է, թե փայլուն հանդիպում է ունեցել։ Իրականում հանդիպման արդյունքները բնավ էլ դրական համարել չի կարելի, ընդհակառակը, հերթական անգամ ապացուցվեց, որ Արևմուտքը գցում է Հայաստանին։ Հանդիպումից հետո, Ռուսաստանի ԱԳՆ-ից հայտարարություն են տարածել, նշել, թե Հայաստանի վարչապետի, ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի և եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահի ապրիլհինգյան հանդիպումը Ռուսաստանը դիտարկում է Հարավային Կովկասը աշխարհաքաղաքական դիմակայության մեջ ներքաշելու փորձ։ ԱԳՆ-ն նշել է, թե Մոսկվային հայտնի է, որ Վաշինգտոնն ու Բրյուսելը ձգտում են հասնել ՀԱՊԿ-ից և ԵԱՏՄ-ից Հայաստանի դուրս գալուն, ռուսական ռազմաբազայի և սահմանապահների դուրս բերմանը։
Հայտարարելով, որ Արևմուտքը ցանկանում է Հայաստանը վերածել Հարավային Կովկասում իր չափազանց վտանագավոր ծրագրերի իրականացման գործիքի՝ Մոսկվան կոչ է անում Երևանին թույլ չտալ, որ Արևմուտքը խաբի իրեն և երկիրը տանի սխալ ճանապարհով։
«Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժման առաջնորդ, պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար գեներալ-մայոր Արշակ Կարապետյանն իր տարբեր հարցազրույցներում և հրապարակային խոսքում մշտապես այս ճշմարտությունն ասել է, փորձել Հայաստանի գործող իշխանություններին սթափեցնել, բացատրել իրենց ապիկար քաղաքականության աղետալի հետևանքները։
