Հայաստանում Արևմուտքի ազդեցությունը մեծացնելու` գործող իշխանությունների ջանքերը, բնականորեն պետք է արժանանային Ռուսաստանի, Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի հակազդեցությանը։ Տարօրինակ կերպով, առայժմ, որևէ արձագանք չի տվել Իրանը։ Արտգործնախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանն օրերս Հանրային հեռուստաընկերության եթերում հայտնել էր, թե Իրանի հետ ջերմ հարաբերություններ ունեն, և բոլոր տարաձայնությունները կարգավորվում են բանակցությունների և քննարկումների միջոցով։ Միրզոյանն ինքն էլ արձանագրել էր, որ բրյուսելյան հանդիպումից հետո որևէ բացասական արձագանք Թեհրանից չի ստացվել։

Պաշտոնական Թեհրանը, որ մշտապես հանդես է գալիս Հարավային Կովկասում արտատարածքային ուժերի ներգրավման դեմ, առայժմ սպասում է հասկանալու, թե ի՞նչ է կատարվում և մինչև ո՞ւր է Հայաստանը փորձելու խորացնել հարաբերություններն Արևմուտքի հետ։

Ավելին, Իրանի դեսպան Մեհեդի Սոփանին էլ, օրերս հայտարարել էր, թե Հայաստանի կառավարությունն իրենց հավաստիացումներ է տվել, որ Արևմուտքի հետ հարաբերությունների ջերմացումն Իրանի շահերի դեմ ուղղված չէ։
Երեկ, նաև իրանական տելեգրամյան ալիքներում, ոչ պաշտոնապես տեղեկություններ տարածվեցին, որ Իրանը զենք է մատակարարում Հայաստանին. այդ մասին նշել էր իրանագետ Վարդան Ոսկանյանը։

Ըստ ամենայնի՝ այս փուլում Իրանին ևս ձեռք է տալիս Արևմուտքի ներգրավումը տարածաշրջան` Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի ախորժակը զսպելու համար, հատկապես, որ ինքն էլ լուրջ խնդիրներ ունի Իսրայելում և, ընդհուպ, հնարավոր է այդ երկու երկրների ռազմական բախում՝ Դամասկոսում Իրանի հյուպատոսարանի գնդակոծությունից հետո։
